how glossy is the kona rack? - Focaljet

I have the silver euro version of the rack. My car is completely blacked out so I want the rack to be black but not so flat that it stands out like unpainted side trim/mirrors do.

I had a post in the wanted section for a trade but that did not work out.

I can buy a new kona rack for only a few bucks more than what it will cost me to get mine powdercoated high gloss black. I am trying to find out if the kona rack is glossy at all or if it is more flat.

Anyone have a pic of the kona rack installed that really shows the crossbars in the sun?

i know slipster just recently got a black rack, but i cant really remember how glossy or flat it is

If you give me till tomorrow I can get you a pic of it in the sun. The finish on the frame is just SLIGHTLY more matte than the gloss black SVT door pillars I have. The only flat black parts are the plastic covers over each door and at the hatch, but those can be easily removed and painted if you wanted them gloss too. Mine were a little sun-damaged so I flat-blacked them and they match my door molding strip really nice.

I glossed the plastics already on mine.
I'm anal about the small details as that is what will either make everything come together or totally ruin the flow when everything is completed.

sorry for the loooong ass delay on these pictures. The weather here in PA these last couple weeks has been crap-tastic to say the least.

Here are some pics on my roof rack. I tried to get some pics of the cross bars in comparison to the end-caps which I painted flat black, and the gloss black SVT pillars.

Where are you guys still finding the black Kona rack for sale (as opposed to the Euro one from BAT)?

I called our local ford dealer and they said it was discontinued and no one in the country had any.
