Default HIDs in my ST170s

well i got an 8000k kit in my ST170s. it was a simple install. i love the way they came out.

enjoy guys. there is less light scatter then i would have guessed. they definitely arent blinding anyone either.

Thats a bit optimistic.
As messy as that light is with the car 2 feet from the garage door you are definitely blinding some folks.

No thanks

A little too blue for my taste. I think white would look better.

Looks like a clean install. Hopefully you arent burning the retinas of oncoming traffic.

8k is white? LOL. Stock Mach HID's are 4500k if I remember correctly. Those are pretty white. 8k is nowhere near white.

theyre not white white. but should have a slight blue tint. 6000k should be white white. 3000k is yellow. so 6000k is white.

mine shouldnt be that blue. but whatever. i like em

They look good but a little blue for my taste. How much were they? I might want to do the same thing.

Turn your lights on then go walk about 100 ft. in front of the car and turn around.

1.) Edit your pictures so that they conform to the guidelines.
2.) Please remove those HIDs before you cause an accident.
3.) 3000K is yellow, ~4300K (like in the MACHs from the factory) is white, 6000K is white with a slight blue tint, and 8000K+ is blue and nearing the ultimately pointless purple range

1. fixed.

2. there is no chance of that.

3. 3000k is yellow. machs have a yellow tint. 6000k is pure white. 8000k is blue. 10000k is still blue but very deep. 12000k is purple.

how do you figure? mine have NO yellow tint at all, maybe a slightly blue tint if anything, but that could be from the projector lens. looks almost pure white

Compared to every other OEM HID I've seen, the SVT's are slightly yellow.

Oh, and thumbs down to HIDs in reflector housings. Ricer.
