As far as I know, there are no "altezza" style tail lights for the 05-07 sedans.

I believe 2005 tail lights are different. They are straight on the right side? The one pictured above would fit my 2000 sedan, but not my 2007.

What about swapping the trunk lid? Or was that already discussed in another thread? I swear I saw an 05-07 body style sedan with after market tails at carlisle all ford nationals last year, but then again, it might of been a pre 05 with a front end swap. (it was a red sedan, black "tyc" style lights I believe). Ok, its late, I'm going ot bed....

You would need to do a trunk lid and bumper swap...kinda makes for an expensive tail light mod. I believe you could do some work to the 00-04 tails to get them onto your car. You would be the first (that I am aware of).

You are correct, there was an '05+ sedan there last year that had aftermarket tails. I believe he had a set similar to the ones shown above but 'trimmed them down' so that the corner fit behind his trunk lid. I don't know the gentleman's name otherwise I'd have you go ask him how he managed that.

Im pretty sure the whole rear end is different on the 05-07 sedans. The quarter panels are shaped differently, same with the bumper and trunk lid. Park one next to another and you'll see what I mean. Only option is to either wait till some overseas company decides to produce them (Unlikely at this point) or modify some 04 down lights for your model.

You can even see it in the two tailights already pictured in the thread, look at the outside edge opposite of the trunk lid side. The line along the quarter panel and across the top of the light is obviously different.

^^^^ yeah thats right, the whole rear is different, so its not as easy as swapping the trunk lid and bumper (the front end is a fairly easy swap)

Well, if I see him again this year, I'll be sure to talk to him, and get some detailed pictures!

Quarter panel is the same, just trunk lid, tail lights, and bumper was chaged on the rear.

The rear part of the light looks different because of the angle and the top is curved on the stock light to match the curve of the 05 trunk lid.

You can even see that they did not change the trunk hole itself because the new light still has corner that the old light had, it's just being covered by the trunk lid.

That picture is huge, and the second one is horrible quality and you cant see any detail anyway.

I'd just double check with a dealer before you start ordering parts... I don't drive a sedan nor do I look at one daily so I'm not sure. There's always a possibility that the quarter panel is different behind the taillight as well.

^^I was going to say, I work at a ford dealer in the parts department (eh, anyway), and I was thinking about asking some of the tech's to pull a tail light out of a pre 05, and one out of an 05+ and try swapping them to see if they fit. Also I was thinking about taking pics of this, but then I remembered up a few post's. Look at what slip posted in post #10. From what he said, it sounds like there isn't (if any) difference in the rear 1/4 panel.

Hope that didn't come across as harsh or rude btw.

Nah, not at all. I doubt the OP wants to swap out a trunk lid and bumper for a set of $50 taillight anyway... Really doesn't matter to me whether the quarters are the same or not, I'll never own a Focus Sedan or another focus for that matter...Just giving my .02.

Also, if you look at the top of the tail light on the pre 05s, it bends a little on the top. There's little chance of getting the tail light to fit in an 05+. You could mod it, like cut away the bends and edges but, it wouldn't seal correctly for water and stuff like that.
The only thing you're able to do to the rear lights is tint them.
