No one on this site has installed F2 Body Kit? I guess Im going to have to contact F2. Do the fenderflares allow you to fit wider tires?

i know pretty many people on here have the f2 kit. i dont have the kit, so i cant help you out too much. i would imagine that the wide body kit would allow you to run a wider wheel/tire combo. i know cwczx3 and zetecgt both have this kit, so maybe you can look at some of their posts

well it depends on what you want to do
are you going to cut your fenders to put wider wheels? are you going to drill holes into the body to mount the flares? or are you just going to 3M (not recommended)

Definitely NOT recommended! You've gotta drill holes for the flares! Do a search for screen names because a few of us have done the F2 wide... Myself (Zetecgt) R0B CWCZX3 Wungun Secondechomatt and two more guys that I can't remember their names.... I personally love mine...but there are minor flaws that need to be corrected in order for it to look right. But damn, once that kit gets done up right, it looks good. I also recommend cutting the fenders to fit wider wheels on there. I had 17x7's and they looked good, but nothing epic. Now, I'm running my stock 16's until my new wheels get here...and boy does she look sad with the stockers on there... ![]() dave.

I guess I can just cover up the screw holes and paint over it. You guys are talking about cutting the fender. You talking about the stock fender? Or the piece that goes above it or both? Zetecgt Did you do it urself or did you have a shop install it for you?

Yeah, I installed mine myself...and I don't recommend doing it if you're not experienced in body work...or if you get queezy by drilling holes in your 1/4 panels and fenders.... ![]() You can cut the edge of the OEM fenders to allow a little more space for wider wheels to fit. You would normally cut 2 inches off the outer lip and that should do it. You will need to rig up your fender liners if you decide to do that. and yes, you can cover the bolt holes and paint over them! Good luck!

Does anyone know if the real RS fenders will fit the F2 wide-body bumper?

Hey Rob expect an email from me. Do you have a side angle on that photo of the wheels? Do you had a sedan with widebody kit?

But now Im gonna go on base and rent out the paint booth. I have never messed with fiberglass yet so that will be new :-) Zetec did you paint it to? Always paint the bumpers off the car.
As for the flares, if you aren't going to cover the bolt holes, paint them off the car. If you're going to cover them, then install them and then paint on the car. dave.

Listen to me carefully because I'm as serious as a heart attack! The fender flares make or break the kit. You MUST install the fenders and test fit the flares before you drill the holes. They don't line up correctly out of the box and take some work to get the bumper/flare line correct. As for painting the flares on or off the car...it's up to you....but if you paint them off the car and decide later on to cover the bolt holes, you'll be doing extra work. dave.
