Default The old FC Ram Air Hood...

Anyone remember the FC ram air hood? I am looking for a picture of it. I know they don't make it anymore.

Why not? If the intake is hooked up near the hood vent it would.

All the FC is, is a NACA vent molded into the hoods. You could easily do that on any year hood and make it look good.

Really? Oh that's awesome. What does NACA stand for?

correct me if i am wrong .. but doesnt it not serve a purpose on that boosted hatch? other than let some cooler air into the engine bay?

National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics

Yeah, the Naca Ducts/Vents are really cheap, so I'm not sure why more people don't glass these into the hoods since everyone wants the FC hoods...

And yes, the hood does serve a purpose on teh Black hatch I posted.

300hp Turbo setup...

I don't have any engine bay shots of Davis's car, but I'm pretty sure last time I saw the car, the hood was fully funtional...

ah. i was just misled by the turbo. i just didnt think it would have much effect with a FMIC. but then i dont know 99% of the cars here yet anyway. any additional pix would be nice if they can be found.

it would not be very functional on a turbo car, as the FMIC would cool the intake charge.

on a JRSC or N/A setup it would get more cool air to the filter (with a volant especially)

If I were to make one for my hood. Where would I go? I tried searching on yahoo but I'm not sure of the size, width & length that was used for that specific hood. Anyone know?

You see, that (to me) would be the ideal setup to go with the Volant intake.

Just measure your hood and how big you want it and order it...

I'm going to do this. I just got my Volant recently, and am going S/C when I have a little more money.

Does the hood lead to any water ingestion problems during rain though?
