Has anyone switched their s2 wing to an f2 RS wing before? I was wondering it he mounting points were identical or not?

I doubt they are similar. The S2 spoiler is way different, and extends more forward on the roof then the F2 spoiler does.

Shouldn't cost too too much, especially if you're not too worried about blending (you shouldn't be... you're covering most of it with a spoiler. They'd just be welding in plugs, and painting. If you're already getting your spoiler professionally painted... there shouldn't be that much of a price difference... considering they're spraying the car anyway.

I would still have a body shop shoot a good layer of clear over the spoiler to prevent the CF from fading...

Got my f2 CF wing yesterday. i was checkin' out my s2 wing, and it doesn't appear to have been secured by any bolts, just 3M tape. I guess i'll have to drill new holes for the new wing. it looks awesome!

s2 spoilers are mounted thru the hatch. it was a little scary drilling the holes, lol. the double sided tape is in addition to 2 bolts and 2 alignment holes.

Anyone have any tips/tricks/suggestions to drilling the holes for the spoiler? Looks like it'll be kind of tricky marking accurate points to drill, but other than that I think it would be pretty straight forward?

Tape up the rear part of the hatch with painters tape. Then when you come to mark the holes and drill, put some wet paint on the tips of the bolt. Then line up the spoiler, and lightly lay the bolts on the tap, marking the holes with paint.

![]() ![]() ![]() I used that paint on the screws method to mark the points to drill, and now i'm stuck at this point. It looks like I bent the upper left part of the hatch when I was trying to pry off my old s2 wing. You can kind of see how it's kind of "sunk" in relation to the roofline. I think this is what's keeping it from lining up properly. Aside from the fact that I probably should've drilled a few mm's forward so that the spoiler would actually touch. I really messed this one up, bigtime. Any suggestions?

I would also suggest taking it to a shop and having them put an extra coat of clear for you. While you're there it couldn't hurt to ask for an estimate for an install as well.

I guess a little persistence pays off...
So I took my drill with a 3/8" bit and ever so slightly expanded the hole on each side til there was enough room to get the bolt slid in comfortably and it worked! (Ah yes, I put a couple of coats of clear earlier this week)

Where did you get the carbon-top/black-bottom RS spoiler j2? I thought F2's been long sold out of those
Can you take some upclose shots like the ones you previously posted now that it's installed correctly so I can see how it looks? I have a dent on my hatch that's an eyesore and I'm hoping that this would be up far enough to cover it ![]() -Brian
