Exclamation heres where the fun is!!!!

well i might be doing a complete rear swap out of my 02 sedan for and 07 sedan. i know i need the trunk, lights, bumper. my next question, questions are

1. is there anything i have to wire up differntly?
2.is the crash foam or what ever it's called going to be needing swaping on the vehicles?
3. will it line up and look good?

if theres anybody elese who's done this before any help would be mucho appcericato'd lol and how hard was it and how long did it take and do u have pics of the process?

Do you have combo turn/brake/running light on your 02? if not you'll have to figure out how to combine the turn and brake/running light for the 07 tails. I think all should line up, no idea about the crash foam.

Please do us a favor and take a picture of the back of the car with the tail lights off and the trunk open to prove once and for all that the rear quarter panels are not different from the older focus sedan.

hehe I know you! Your rear end is gonna be my rear end soon mawahaha! I don't think the crash foams between the two should be different I know mine is outta whack from backing into some idiot in the middle of the night driving by me with no lights on... or a license... wonderful. Anyway, I was looking at an older sedan next to mine a few weeks ago I didn't see any differences... But I guess before we do the whole swap we should move one brake light over between the cars just to make sure... why remove the bumpers and the trunks just to go OHNOZ the lights don't fits! But I did see a pic of an 06 with older tail lights without a conversion and even that looked over but the trunk bashed into the lights when you closed it which is no good...

You're going to be best also swapping the pigtails with the '07. Not sure if the wire colours remained the same. But an '07 pigtail and a voltmeter should make the swap pretty easy.

Pigtails? See I am wondering how the new tails will work on my car considering that I only have two bulbs when his car has three. I know I could probably wire of up something down the road and only use the reverse and the brake light spots... but I have no idea how his would work....

thats what the pigtails do. it woudl allow us to switch lights. soo my 3 could be transfered to 2 bulbs and ur 2 could be made3. soo yeah. it's pretty easy to do aslong u get the right wires matched or ur gonna have nice toasty trunk for grillin hotdogs and hambugers.

I'm not too sure but maybe it's due to the fitting of the tailights.

Thanks FordSVTParts... I didn't think the rear quarter panels were any different.

Now about these pig tails... how do these things work? Are they just the wiring harnesses for the rear lights? takes in turn signal and reverse and brake light power and distributes it properly to various light sockets? I am thinking? Me R computer programmer not car genius :-(
