Measure the lens, and hunt ebay for some HID projectors. To get you started, most of the single xenon projectors from german cars (audi TT & BMW E46, to be specific), are 2.5'' diameter, and the bixenons from BMWs and Caddys are 3''.
I've seen full setups (projectors, bulbs and ballasts) go for as low as $300. Other than a full HID conversion, there really isn't anything that can be done. |

You're better off buying a set of Mach HID's made for a focus and having the reliable, high quality and headache free setup.... By the time you get a set of projectors that will work, ballasts and get everything retrofitted into the headlight you're going to end up spending about $500 total including the price of the cheap ebay housings...

Yes, but finding a projector that is going to simply bolt into place is nearly impossible. Not only is it going to cost about as much as those headlights did new, you'll have a LOT of custom work to get them installed, on top of that making them actually adjustable is another task. I have no idea what would fit in the housing you have... Maybe post what version of the ebay lights you have and wait to see if someone can help you, I can't on this one.

Take them apart and measure them. For more information on retrofitting go to http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/. I think you probably could fit the murano projector.

thanks a lot, you helped me out big time. The Projector itself is garbage. Thats what I get for buying ebay junk I guess. I didnt think $280.00 CAD would get me junk though.

Hey man if you are looking to do a retro-fit it will in NO way cost you 500 dollars. Mine cost 115 for projectors, HID's, and odds and ends to do it. Here is a shot of my cut-off and light throw and such. We are waiting on a new pair of HID's but you get the idea. Also do head to HID planet as they are good too.
![]() ![]() ^^Granted this was the test fit and with ONE projector and HID. By the way i had ebay lights too. Sold them and took the extra cash and pocketed it because i already had this stuff spare. These wer actually done in stock housings. |

He would be spending almost $500, he just said he spent $280 CAD on his headlights, plus "$150" for whatever you bought, which I'm curious because thats REALLY cheap for any HID projector.... If you bought them on ebay that cheap theres probably someone driving they're Mercedes around right now without their projectors...

^^ I bought some Acura projectTors. They are not hard to find and can be bought more than easily. The projectors aren't stolen nor did i get them off ebay. AND IF i did it doesn't mean they are stolen. But ok.
It's not uncommon to find a set of projectors for close to 70-90 bucks. try looking i found them and this was my result. He wouldn't spend close to 500. Sell the cheapies. Retrofit the Stockers and pocket the extra. Easy and done. What would you suggest, MACH's because that is cost efficent to buy.:? |

I'd suggest Machs because they don't look like a hack job on the front of your car. I realize you can find good deals but not everyone wants the front end of their car to look like the terminator. Was your $150 price projecters, and igniters/ballasts or just the projectors with some Indonesian HID kit?
For a high quality setup, for example a set of E55 mercedes projectors and a set of Phillips or Hella ballasts and a quality set of bulbs, you're looking at about $450-$500 in components.... IF you want to have a setup that will run into componant failure and have sub-par output, you can buy a cheap kit and a set of Acura Projectors. I give advise according to what will be the most effective way of doing things. I don't search garage sales and try to do things as cheap as possible, and wont give advice accordingly..

My price was for projectors and HID kit as well. Was not forgien and came with a 2 yr warranty on it as well. I personally don't think they look like a hack job. For an an extra 54 bucks i could have picked up shrouds and such but decided not to because i wanted the all black look. I have seen it done with the stockers left silver to match a different application.
I would never justify spending 500 used and almost 900 new for a pair of headlights. If they come with the car great. But that money can be used much more wisely. And mine are MORE than fine. I am supposed to get some shots next week of me next to an SVT with MACH's for camparison. As it stands in pictures mine look pretty good. Though i wouldn't expect this kind of mod to be accepted by alot of foci enthusiats as they mut have the "real" deal. |

If it works for you thats awesome, saves you money for other things. I'm a perfectionist and like everything to be the nicest and cleanest it can be, and when I look into your headlights they seem unfinished, BUT its not my car... Doesn't even matter, if he wants to take that route let him, I'm just trying to help steer him away from having to replace everything and having problems with the retrofit a year down the road. I'm done in this thread.

LMAO, perfectionist i see it as you like many other drivers see the headlights one way and that is it. You wont have problems down the road if you take your time and do it correctly. You would know that if you were a perfectionist. Unfinished if you read both of those shots were not all the way done. The car is at a shop now for an ignition cylinder after which they will finally be able to be completed.
I should have known i would get that kind of response. |

You've been here a day...Good first impression. Yeah, I'm a moderator but I've also got an opinion. I didn't say anything offensive or launch a personal attack. I'm glad you judge so soon though.
Don't post in this thread unless you have something productive to say. I don't want to fill his thread with any more garbage like this. Thanks.

Look if your looking to swap projectors you won't need MERCEDES. They are WAY over priced and can be kept up with alot of others. Just because it's a name doens't mean it's differnt. They are mass produced just like other cars.
Go to HID planet there are TONS of retrofits done on there and most dont use a mercedes projector. Enjoy your project and hope all goes well. And be sure what your paying for, is really gonna be worth that sticker price. |

Mach's have Hella gen 3's...same as the E55 projectors. As for the OP's situation, I believe from his previous posts that he has an 07 focus. Azwethinkweiz, You're suggesting he buy fenders/hood/bumper to put mach's on? He already has projectors in his headlights so swapping them in won't make it look any worse than it already is. Wasn't aware that he had an 07... In that case ignore my Mach recommendation because it'd definitely not practical.
I dont even care, forget I even posted in this thread... Anytime I post something regarding my opinion everyone is overly picky about what I say because my name is green. Regardless of how much I do help theres always people who have to point out every little flaw and "try to prove the moderator wrong". I'm not even going to post here anymore, the OP hasnt posted in about 10 posts, looks like he lost interest.

I love you still Azwethinkweiz. And I trust your opinion over most when it comes to HIDs. In fact, I am planning on talking to you extensively on the subject when i get around to trying to do some kindof retrofit for my '06.
