Default budget SVT headlight replacements

I need some new stock SVT style headlamps. From what I hear the TYC headlamps are pretty good but they are more than 2x the cost of some of the other brands. I figure that I can expect to not have as many issues with an OEM style light from e-bay as the people who buy projectors and such.

Has anyone had any experience with any of non-OEM stock style replacements?

I just want something that fits good and doesn't fog up.

These are the ones I am curious about.

Fogging up ain't a problem. Typically, you can add sealer to prevent that.
I always prefer auth Ford lights. My old set of ST170's have had alot of problems with the clear peeling off. And some other Jetters had the same problem. Typically, unless you get a good deal with OEM ones, you get what you pay for...

If you need another set, maybe wait until a set come up for sale, or buy a Regular set and crack them open and paint gloss black like SVT's.

I had a spare set I was going to paint. I don't have the time or patience for it so I sold them. At this point that is not an option I am considering.

I ordered a new set of TYC black lights for a really good price.

That's a lot less than I though they'd be, but then again, I haven't really purchased anything from Ebay. Ever.

That'll change, I'm sure, as time goes by. :-)~

For example, I have authentic Ford Focus ST170 headlights (with the charcoal surround) in the car now; if anything should happen to one or both and I can't get hold of another pair right away, I'd more than likely be willing to purchase the black, imitation ST170s that others here have used in their cars.

Anyhoo...

Your car will look even better, Eric, with those new lights installed. Miles loved it.

Those imitation black housing ST170's are the ones that I don't recommend...The lenses are poop on them...
