Dont forget inner fender liners and wind trays under the car front & back. crash foam and beamfront and back.I picked up an RS interior out of the UK, shipping was $900.00 US @ 6 weeks $1,600.00 for interior. I picked up a spare wheel new in the box for $228.00 and $80.00 to ship. Shipping is a killer as well as dealing with customs broker fees and customs fees. I purchased the old F2 RS Replica from George in NH. its in MN. now. Its looks very tired as yet, it will be Imperial Blue for spring in 2010. The Germans are DICKS to work with the BRITS are GREAT!!! You can tell who won WW 2 .I have also found a pedal box, council, gauges, complete wiring harness, interior door handles and all interior trim pieces. The car is way different than my old SVT!!! Kind of funny I drive into the local Ford dealer no one notices the car but when I go into the Toyota dealer for parts for my first new car a 80 celica coupe filled with TRD parts and a twin cam 18 RG. there were 6 employees drooling at my RS. SVT suspention parts do not work on this car my car has been super sized !!!

When you buy interior parts some pieces must come from other than the UK right hand drive stuff, headlight switch ,plastic trim around door handles holding power window switches, center council.you will need a drivers seat track from a SVT you must modify that but works great. The UK seat cushions can be switched over so the RS is facing toward the doors. I am in the process of installing my boost and air fuel gauges where the oil gauges are on the svts 12 hours in to them almost complete. Center council you can switch the start button with the build # button the holes are the same size underneath

spudo,

Did you try biding on some RS rear plastic wheel well liners from Ebay Uk several months back? The guy selling ask me if I knew the guy from MN bidding as well, lol. If not you, then somebody in MN is building a RS.

I won the liners and he told me he would ship, then he found out how much it would be and "disappeared" for awhile. He never got a shipping quote for me, thus I still need the liners.

No, I have not seen the pics either.

Yea, the RS interior I'm installing has one seat base from the RS (UK driver now my passenger side) and one seat base from an SVT (US driver's side). Having height adjust for both passenger and driver's side was worth it alone, lol.

As for your center console, how did you fasten down the rear? Did you reuse the 3 bolts from the svt console? What about your interior door handle trim? Did you buy LHD Euro handles for the power windows etc? Any pics of the interior?

^^ Are you building an OEM RS as well? I'm trying to keep track of where everyone is located that's building a widebody. I have the front RS liners, but the rear I've been reusing the SVT carpet ones. I bought some RS rear liners, but those and other parts are still waiting in the UK until I can maneuver shipping from my family there. So many details in these builds!

I am doing a rear only conversion... Porsche inspired, 18x8 front wheels and 18x9.5 or 10" rear wheels. I have a set of rear RS quarters, and (2) RS rear bumpers. I have the Euro rear bumper foam and metal rebar. How I am going to tie in the OEM front to the rear? I don't know yet but I have OEM ZX3, SVT, and JMS side skirts sitting here. I am hoping the JMS skirts will flow, or maybe the OEM skirts can be modified to flow. SVT's are my last resort as I do not think they will flow.

JMS skirts.. nice find.

I would go BTCC style and flare out the SVT front bumper.

It's almost depressing how many people are doing this now.

depressing in which way? losing its value as being unique, or the fact that the body parts are cheap right now while they last?

The uniqueness, mostly. Nobody was doing this mod anymore because FRPP stopped selling the parts and nobody could find them. I spent a couple years digging them up for my own project from difficult sources, and now LCR has a bunch of them. Time well spent, if you know what I mean.

I've found most of my parts on the cheap as well, but it would be nice to grab extras if I had the cash for them.

I might try to pick up spare parts if people end up dropping their project. Might be years though before we see more RS builds completed. Personally, I'm kinda excited to see a few more pop up here and there. I wonder how many will go with all Imperial?

... and yes, 3500 for doubles is a CRIME. lol.

well it is one thing to buy the parts and another to install them. so we'll see how all this pans out and the replicas that come out of it here in the states. something tells me a handful of people will bail once they realize how tough it is to locate the parts overseas and have them shipped reasonably here.

Id like to get extras as well.. would really be nice to have a few spares around. I will agree that it is kind of depressing seeing everyone else do this to their cars at the same time you are.. I knew of a few (cayse, and the f2 car that was already built along with svt2rs's car) but it's looking like this is going to be a fairly common thing now. Sort of a bummer.

I think there should be one in every state!!! Its not like we will pull up to a stop light at the same time. Have you guys seen the RS T shirt on ebay uk it says feel the difference under a blue RS Great T! I will be at Road America this weekend it would be good company if their was another one there to hang with. I made a bracket for the back of council to screw into.I will put up some pics when my kid comes over, when I went to school we had typewriters. I am good at buying on ebay with this thing.
