You guys are crazy if you think it is "depressing" to see more people doing. No matter what you'll never run into a RS conversion on the road just by chance. There will be less RS conversions then Ferrari's out there, and how often do you see a Ferrari. I am sure not often.

Not only that, I will WELCOME seeing the RS body in different colors. I think Infra-Red would be hot. Myself am staying Twilight Blue, I am repainting the entire car as it need it anyway. No, I will not paint it another color and no two tone. The original color is always the cheapest, and easiest route to go in the long run.

SVT2RS, I love your car but I will be honest I would LOVE to see in in full Cd Silver. All Silver would be subtle, and sexy. One color would let the wide body flares do the talking. With the blue, the first thing you notice is all the blue. It is overpowering imho. Love the car regardless. Love the work you have put into it.

Does the SVT mounting points work with RS fenders?

How do I lengthen a SVT lower grille?

Anything can fit with enough work. It will be custom, no question, and I doubt it will be cheap. But it will look sick.

That white one makes me want to do the whole conversion, but the odds and ends pieces drive the cost through the roof. I am not convinced Twilight Blue would look as good either... But Kyle's TB looks so good.

the only odds and ends i cant stand are the upper and lower grilles. here's a quote i got for them new:

upper = 312.26 pounds = $513.39
lower = 316.00 pounds = $519.54

maybe i asked the wrong people, but those prices seem obsurd for the grilles. even used for the pair i was quoted 450 pounds = $739. ay yi yi. even if they came with a free bj it would be tough to justify that purchase.

It's the coating on the steel grills. It's superman-like material. You could t-bone a brick wall and they'd be fine.

As for paint... a silver RS replica already exists, and obviously there are a few blue reps... but only one blue and silver RS

I'm a bit too much of a risk taker to stick with one color, plus with all the work that goes into building a RS conversion, why not draw the eye with a splash of two-tone? Haha, atleast that was my thinking 5 years ago when I started, lol. Besides, when you see it in person someday, you'll note the blue/silver lines puts a lot of emphasis on the added W I D T H of the car.

btw, I hadn't seen that yellow custom widebody before. That thing is sharp, any more pics?

The lower grill you can make your self,the weaved steel mesh is for sale cut it up and have it plated. I made a bracket for the rear mount point on the RS council, my prior post was not clear.

The mesh isn't plated... it's coated in an incredibly durable rubber-like material. I've seen rocks slam into my upper grille and the mesh still looks new.

The owner of that white RS sold the car... I've been HOUNDING him to get the rear spoiler from him for a year but he ended up getting rid of the whole car. That's a genuine carbon M-Sport spoiler from the WRC cars. The bumper vents, fog surrounds and front lip spoiler were all made by a company in the UK that sadly went up in flames last year. You can still find the lip spoiler and fog surrounds occasionally, but the vents are tough to come across.

I've bought a few things from ebay.de without a problem. I just always send a message first asking if they ship to the States. They usually can understand a slight amount of English at least.

Yeah, the rear conversion is "cheap" compared to putting together the front. Big purchase for me is going to be the plastic liners... Going to be $500 shipped, same price I get from several sources.

I have a REALLY good UK EBAY seller that I use for Euro Focus parts, I gladly pass his user name on if anybody cares. He got me a Euro metal rebar for $70 shipped US and I had it in 6 or 7 days.. not business days, days-days. I thought that was a good deal, and fast shipping UK to Detroit.

Many of the colors have been done on RS replicas (and a few re-painted genuine RS's): Infra-Red, black, silver, Liquid Grey, orange, white, purple, pink (yes, pink), Reyland did a three-tone silver grey and red. I believe I've seen a yellow one but I'm not sure about that one... haven't seen green, teal, light blue, burnt copper or sangria red. Burnt copper would be pretty sick.

There's a thread with a bunch of different color RSs but I can't find it...
