Your post implied that you were damning him about the airbags. Sorry for the confusion.

Yeah, things have been rough for me lately and I slipped. I try not to lash out like that, but poor judgement prevailed that time.

32 years ago there were no airbags.

I'm just teasing! Everyone play nice.

You guys crack me up!

"I like you... but you're crazy!"

http://www.entertonement.com/clips/t...William-Scott-

Granted this car is not exactly "legal" by any stretch, but "safe", I'd like to go on thinking so. I just think a little ingenuity into correcting the function of the wheel and passenger front airbag is worth a little thought and attention, if for nothing else than to ease my mind. With a 5pt harness though, you'd never reach the airbags anyway.

In all honesty... I'm on pace to drive this car less than 100mi a year now. It's basically for show (the STi will be my "go"). Plus if anything ever happened to this car, I'd be more worried about the safety of whomever is in the other car that hit me... if you know what I mean

note: Progress made on vent gauge pod! Looks like two will fit great after all, even under the outer vent ring, should look stock too!

I wouldn't do it personally, though I did drive for 20 miles from house to bodyshop that way when I was taking the car in the first time. Too much stuff exposed to the elements. Again, I wouldn't suggest doing this.

Warning Cat's focus does not meet federal crash regulations.
No airbags and incorrert safety bumper without crash foam.
Riding in my car will be psychical and mental to your health.
Cat will not be responsible or your well being dude to carelessness.
If you understand these action and want the ride of your life then,

I have an idea that may work... but you may need to investigate how the stitching comes apart on seat covers that have airbags in them.

Swap the foam bolsters and seat covers onto your existing seats.

It is the start of the winter season here so I will have nothing to report until Spring. Only thing I can do for the next 6 months is search for parts and work as much as I can.

This is a 40mph rollover from a Camry doing a u-ee from the right shoulder, side airbags
generally only work when hit from the side. This Pumpkin Quash happen on of all days Halloween wk-end in 04, had 18k on the odometer. Bought it back from insurance for 1200 and parted out for 4800, paid my taxes in 05

When and if a Focus does get hit, there's usually no coming back, get your stuff off and get another

Giving up the air bags? Its the seat heaters I'm gonna miss, now that's the one item(and the HID's) that I had to have when I searched for SVT#2, the black 04 I bought from dealer in Philly with 6900 and drove it back to Dallas on Thanksgiving(one month after the Pumpkin-Quash of the 03. So if I give up the Recaro's for Sparco or whatever, gotta get rewired for HEAT
