Saleen Body Kit

I was on Saleen's website and it says their body kit is for the 2004 and 2005 focus. i have a 2002 svtf, will it fit on it, or am i going to have to make some modifications to it?

The front on the 05-07 is different than the pre 05's but the sides and the rear bumper should be the same. Not sure about Saleen's 04 and 05. If i remember correctly, the 05's came out in mid '04 but don't quote me on that.

If you have a 2002 and you want a 2005 front end, you have to change the hood, fenders, headlights, bumper, and grill out.

Saleen made two different body kits: one for their 2004 cars, and the other for their 2005 cars. You will have to call them and ask what they have available.

It is possible to do a front-end conversion as well... swap the headlights, hood, grille and fenders and you can fit a 2005 front bumper.

How can you tell the difference I have two complete kits in my attic. Is there a part number stamped on them?

Yea the Focus itself has a different front end in 2005, so they made a new front bumper to fit. The rest of the kit is the same.

I know that, what I am asking is does Saleen have a different number on the cover so you can tell the difference? Also if any body wants a rear cover a friend purchased 5 from Saleen before they moved to MI.

The 05-07 front bumper, where it meets the fender, is curved up and squared.

Before Saleen actually made Saleen Foci from '03 to '05, I think they actually used to sell Foci body kits dating back to like '02...

IIRC cdsilver bullit, your front bumper does not have the flares on it that mate with the '03 to '05 Saleen fender flares. I am going to assume those were the pre-production body kits that they were selling.

I am not sure what the difference is, but I know I have seen some Saleen front bumpers with and without the flares. All of the actual Saleen cars have bumpers with the flares.

Anybody else notice this?

Years ago, I actually showed up at the Saleen place to BUY their lip kit (After speaking with someone there on the phone). So I walked in and asked and the response was, We don't do anything with the Focus. Spent about twenty minutes of them trying to find the parts or someone who knew something.

Left empty handed. Managed to get the Ford Accessory Kit when they clearanced them out.

They had a yellow R&D car back in 02 or 03, let me see if I can find th pic to see if it had fender flares.

Just to be technical, Saleen did not sell a 2003 model year Focus. They made the parts and they made a couple pre-production cars, but they were available retail as 2004 or 2005 model years only.
