It's custom, not a kit. I'm not even sure what he has anymore, because that pic is a year old and he's made quite a few changes already, and I'm pretty sure he was doing some major changes to the engine.

Can we move the avatar discussion into the WTF thread in Pit Stop so this one can get back to engine bay pics?

Actually this is the perfect opportunity to get some feedback on that engine cover I'm getting.

Because of all the weird lines and contours in the Mazda 3 cover, I'm having a tough time deciding how to shave and paint it so that it will match the rest of my theme. This is the only 'shop and the only idea I've really considered so far. I would REALLY REALLY welcome ANY feedback or other ideas (or especially other 'chops!!!!) -- because it still obviously doesn't seem quite right.

The 'shop:

I want to know this too -- the more I see that pic, the more I want to replace my nasty, broken-ass stock piece with something that smooth. I've already got a dremel

Apparently it was his fully built car, but he wanted to redo it, so he stripped it completely and started working on building it back up, which is why the motor is totally built, and the rest of the car looks to be a work in progress...and what looks like airride...
