I wouldn't mind Orange with White Stripes.

Only thing about stripes is waxing would be a pain... I was first thinking white on the Infra Red SVT but i found some flat black that might look good without saying come race me...

Actually, those are vinyl. It just takes some time, patience and a heat gun to conform to those grooves. The area around the back license plate is also a pain to get it to look right.
As a temporary thing, I removed the lower grille and blacked out the void. The lights are my own creation. Thank you for your kind words. |

Looks really good..
I put a Mach Lip on mine & wrapped it in vinyl, alot cheaper than painting & it won't chip. How wide are your strips?? Hard to keep straight? Did you lay them out with a soapy solution so you could move them around ? Sorry for all the questions...

Thank you.
No problem about the questions. That is what we are all here for, right? The stripes shown are 10" wide on most of the car. I tapered the stripes on the hood from 10" to 9 1/2" wide to keep them from looking too wide in the front. The gap is 2" between the two stripes. I sprayed the body panel and the back of the vinyl with a soapy solution so that I could move it around. Then it is just a matter of squeegee-ing the soapy water out from under the vinyl. Here is a photo showing the back. ![]() I also wrapped the "B" Pillars in gloss black and the side moldings in silver vinyl. I find it easier to work with than paint.

Thank you very much. I won't lie to you, the application of the stripes on the hatch & bumpers will try your patience.
I prefer the look of the Euro tails. But the problem is that they force you to be creative with your reverse light(s). I use a bar of white superflux LEDs under the bumper for my reverse lights. ![]() Yes, the wheels are the 5 spoke Ford Racing Tuner wheels. Good Eye. |

I have no reverse lights....yet.... I also added the white led's to my license plate but i run a smoke tinted cover. The bumpers should be easy on a svt cause they are smooth. But the cutting out for the license plate looks trick-e. I'm still running stock 5 spokes but i like them alot.
Here's what i have so far... ![]() ![]() Just was wondering white or flat black if i did stripes. I know waxing with black & red combo would be a pain. |

Your SVT looks really nice & clean. I like it. The red vinyl on the lip is a perfect match.
If it is a gloss vinyl, you can wax/polish right over it, as if it were paint. If it is a matte vinyl, then you would want to avoid getting wax on it. But if you do, then wax the whole stripe to keep the appearance consistant. On a red Focus, white stripes are very bold and will make quite a statement. Matte black on red is more subdued. Think about silver, maybe even a pewter. |

You'll need a laser leveler to get it precise. I would do gloss silver on your car to match the wheels, personally.

Well, you can measure each body panel and find the midpoint. For example, lay a measuring device (I have to admit, I use one of those fabric tape measures that seamstresses use) across the hood and measure the width at the top & at the headlights. Take 1/2 of that measurement & place a mark on a piece of masking tape. Repeat as necessary. Careful measurements are your friend. The use of a laser level to create a straight line is a great idea.
With the hood scoop, you will have to do the hood in a couple of pieces. But it's no problem. The antenna should be in the middle of the roof, but if it is off a little bit, then you can fudge the stripes a little so that there is an even gap between the stripe edge and the base of the antenna. When I did mine, I had to take the hatch strip off, in order to install the stripes and not have any visible seams. |

Well, if that includes the material and labor to stripe the entire car, then that is not really that bad. Metallic vinyl can be relatively expensive for enough to do the whole car.
But if that dollar amount is for the material and labor to do the hood, roof & top of hatch, that is pricey. The bumpers and the hatch are the most time consuming parts of the installation. |

THAT'S what it is! I was wondering why this car looked so clean, then I read this and it clicked. VERY nice. So subtle, I didn't know why I liked it!
![]() Think about doing the double stripes as outlines instead of solid stripes. Use silver pinstriping and it will "suggest" racing stripes without being too in-your-face. Just a thought...

Thanks...The lip actually looks better in pics...it is a shade off, I need cardinal red, but it's been on for over a year and had held up great. Can't argue the vinyl was free
