FOTB has never been meant to be anywhere other than Slowcal.
Us midwest/easterners just don't have the cohesion that the west does to get something like this going. The focus enthusiasts are too few and far between where as out there they have the DEZ and a bunch in CA alone.

Complaining isn't going to do anything. if you want an east coast event get one going.

Focus On The Beach can be anywhere that there is a beach, and a Focus. We have attempted to have events on the East Coast, but logistically, it has not yet come together.

I'd say the Midwest and East certainly have the support that it would take to have an event like FOTB... Its just, for me, a matter of finding a venue that is appropriate, and willing to host us. This year, for example, we did contact a number of sites and was told my one major site that had availability "we have too many car shows already this year, so no, sorry."
