Ok...this is more helpful. I was about to settle for the Super 8, but I will spring for something nicer if we can all hang and balcony party.

...they want like nearly $500 for two nights. F that. I'm camping....but there must be toilets.

Grand Master Mabel doesn't poop in holes?

I'm still deciding if I'm going to stay the night. Camping does sound pretty sweet. After getting up at 4am, driving for a few hours and then hanging out in the sun all day, I can't imagine I'll be up to the few hour drive home. I blacked out for over an hour driving home from FOTB06. Still not sure how I got home.

Holy ****! $220 a night for a Best Western? Uh........I'm going to need to find another option. Even with splitting the room with one other person, that's not doable for me.

Honestly, I'll do a little more digging.

Those are the close ones. Down in Carpenteria there are usually better deals... or all the way down in Ventura are even better. There are, of course, the little mom and pop places in Santa Barbara that are cheaper... but I'd recommend bringing your own towels. They're a little on the small side in the room LOL.

theres a motel SUX right down the street from BW/HIE also theres a ramada on calle real located off turnpike. theres some spanish named place on hollister right off the 217 as well but i forget the name

super 8 is on hollister/kinda shady
but the hampton inn was just put up within the past year or so, so it's pretty new and everything is nice.

during summer on the weekend every1 jacks their prices up though.

I already booked for the Super 8. I get reward points for it and its close without being completely outrageous. It would have been nice to rent a condo or vacation house with a group of people, but again, too pricey and we couldn't fill the nightly minimum required.

So party at the Super 8! Its around 134 a night and you can get two queens per room to share the cost with someone...

Just found out I'll get 5% back on hotels in July with my Discover card so I'll wait another few days to make my reservation.

I got a room at the ramada inn off of real the only bad part was it was 180 bucks a night.

motel 6 in goleta isnt too bad. about 1/4 mile from best western/ HIE plenty of food places in between them
albertsons, DENNYS, Outback, KFC, quiznos, i think carls jr. umm pick up stix, theres a rustys down the street, right next to motel 6 is Zodos Bowling, complete w/ bar and arcade, couple other resturaunts and fast food places in between.

ATTN SLAMMED CARS if you're staying at motel 6 park at Albertsons right next to it(at the light) coming from fairview exit motel6 is before the light. they have a pretty steep entrance. also making a left out of their lot is difficult w/ the location. people on pro kits, or with body kits may want to use caution when entering/exiting.
