My post wasn't made in anger. Jetfest is an event much akin to FOTB except it moves around the country. The first one was in Southbend Indiana and the second one was in SlowCal, quite hilariously I didn't attend the first one which was only 3.5-4 hours from me and I did attend the second one which was a 30+ hour drive for me.

I believe there has been an agreement between Ron and Todd to alternate years of the events so that they don't take attendance from eachother. if this holds true 09 should be a jetfest year, hopefully somewhere away from the left coast.

oh and how come you dont like sleepers? (although i do agree they suck) i know this guy that has a Jeep that sounds quiter than stock and he made a boosted mustang GT look like a piece of gum that's been stepped on millions of times on a new york side walk......

and when he came back he said that he thought he would put up more of a fight.... the GT never came back

I'll make it simple for the east coast guys:

Find a sponsor willing to put up the cash for a venue and the insurance, and my costs for travel and expenses, and I'll be happy to do an east coast event.

But all the sponsors I've contacted aren't willing.

Now, if you guys all wanna pay $60 or so each for the event.....

I really REALLY wanna bring you guys an FOTB. Believe me. But it costs money.... and not a little amount.

60 bucks to do an event in say florida is still cheaper than tring to drive 3000 miles to socal for same event and as for the sponsers why won't they do any thing out here on the east coast

yeah i'd definitely throw up $60 bucks to go to an event in Florida as opposed to the money for the 200+ gallons of gas it would cost to drive out and back and the extra pay money I would lose spending a week or 2 driving each way.
