Default Focus Challenge - Buttonwillow Thread

OK GUYS!

Finally did it!

Yes, the CosWagon was flogged, heartily, at Buttonwillow this weekend

Jeff and I shared seat time, after an initial lesson with Allan (slidemaster). I'll let Allan post about my progress, but I guess I did well, Ken from Cosworth followed me a bit in their ZX3, and was amazed at me, and also on how well the car handled. Seeing the sillouhette of the wagon on the track was kind of silly But after playing with tire pressures, I got my 'groove' and it was time for fun. Kudos to the Cooper Zeon 2XSs that are on there!!!

I am officially 'hooked', and long for my next 'fix'.

There were quite a few pics taken, I'm sure they'll get posted shortly.

Thanks to everyone for an outstanding Mother's Day weekend!

Nik & the Redline crew are awesome.

And thanks to Allan I guess I'm now on his list of official 'students'

You did great Kris as did Jeff. JEff overcame a little speed shock the first time out, and ended up getting more agressive as the day went on!

Kris you just need some laps. YOu progressed about as fast as you can in a 20 minute coaching session. Scotty had the advantage of 2 days of it at the SVTOA event. (Yet he picked up alot this weekend as well)

The more I think of it, we need some award for the fastest street foci. Airforce beat a real race car in total time.

Another GREAT FocusChallenge event! We had a blast hosting the event and I had a very fun time in the Challenge session. I have a list of items I either need to upgrade, install, or replace on the Focus before the next event. These 225/50 16" tires are killing my acceleration by effectively lowering my final drive even more. Time for a 4.06 gear upgrade, Crower Stage 2 Cam install, and SCT Flash. That should do it for now...

I cant wait to see pics that Greg took from this weekend. From what he told me, we should see some awesome shots!
