Is there interest from the community for us to run a Focus Challenge the Sunday following Focus On The Beach, July 23rd?

We already have the track booked, the Streets of Willow Springs..... where the Focus Challenge was born. :-)

With alot of people coming down to the show Saturday from far away, this is a great opportunity to get them out to the track on Sunday as one large group.

If you are interested in participating, please post here. I have sent PMs to Todd and to Ron, to see if we have their support in this.

Scotty is in Hawaii getting lai(s) Im sure he would love to come. I am planning to come as a BDX role and may help Walter run. He has some interest in showing his stuff

I need to look at a map and see if it makes any sense for me to drive by the track to check it out for an hour or two Sunday morning before heading North for home. I could certainly throw my helmet in if chances were good I could get a ride-along or two.

It would cost you a net of about an hr. The 99/5 interstate is about 1/2 between the FOTB and the track. If the BDX goes, you can have a ride without a problem. Check out the thread in RR about the track. Craigallen posted a 1 1/2 lap vid from yesterday.

To get back to the 5 from Willow Springs is actually pretty damn easy... you can either a.) take 138 back to gorman and rejoin there, or b.) take 14 N to 58 W and go through Tehachapi and Bakersfield.

Stay an extra day!

I don't know about an extra day but in the past I've left the Santa Barbara area about 11 or 12 on Sunday to start the drive home. I think Ventura is actually a shorter drive than SB so I might be good to hang out at the track until 11 or 12 then head home.

I'm supposed to be back to go to a Mariner's game Monday night in Seattle.

Ventura is a few miles longer, but from the 5 its a straight shot north at high speed. The coast route is slower.

The back straight is faster
