If it will get me a better time, I will take the crap chassis stamping credit. By the way, what the hell is that?

Dang yo! Your handicap went up to 13 Wally!!

The new handicap adjustments look great! Definitely looks better balanced.

So if Wally is a 13 and Bela is a 3.3, he (Bela) is going to have to be ten seconds quicker right? Ouch!

Ya but that seems close to me. The rate of acceleration and handling is pretty different in those cars. Just from the sweeper to the final turn I would guess that Bela would be 3 seconds ahead

Ok, it does seem like it'd be pretty close at Buttonwillow, but do those HDCP's already have the track calculated in? Because Bela would be screwed at the Streets right?

yep he would, but try to visualize a turbo SVT going up the hill and the automatic going up the hill. How many seconds difference to you think there would be there.

Then add the difference between 3 and 4 going back up the hill. Then add the drag though the top of the course.

Those handicaps are the base handicap. They do not have the track factors mixed in. The track factors are mixed in when applying the final times.

And yes if I took my focus out to the streets with this type of power, I could throw down a 1:33 or better I'm pretty certain! That means wally would have to bring in a 1:43

I was of course not arguing...just being curious. It sounds as though the new system may offer a very competitive level of parity. That's awesome.

I've been going over the track maps on BW's website...which configuration are we running? I've heard everyone call it Config. #2, but is that the same as what BW's site calls Race #2? Has the Zorro corners and the bus stop down the backstretch?

No its 13 CW!! Full track with the sweeper instead of the mazda corner (little safer for the rookies)

Thanks Allan. That's the one that I thought it was, and actually I'm really glad it's not the BW #2 config. That one looks a bit too constrained, but #13 should be a freakin' blast!

There will be between 12 and 20 instructors present. I believe Mike Peters will have the majority from NASA with about 5 or 6 coming from the BDX
