Btw, I haven't had the money available for this until now...I just tried to register and it is supposedly closed. Can I register at the track for an additional fee or what?

X2

Last year there were a few last-minute stragglers. Nothing unusual. They'll be pretty cool about it.

Gates typically open at 7

Tech usually around 8 or so, Drivers meeting 8:30 on track at 9:00.

This is not the official time line-up, this is just what the norm is

The reports back from this should be interesting. The Focus Challenge results will be a good heads-up driver comparison for a few people w/o any speculation about handicap differences. Strange days...

I won't tell anybody else's story, but I'll tell a bit of mine. The short version: No tracking (planned), oil temps climbing followed by coolant temps on the way to the track (unplanned).

Diagnosis? Wonky thermostat (or similar issue) => increase oil temps setting off the hair-trigger SVT oil temp gauge before the engine coolant gauge starts to move (fingers TIGHTLY crossed that this is a correct dx - both hands, some toes)

Nice time hanging out Sat afternoon... REALLY wanted to go out and drive as a run group pregridded at sunset... Beautiful evening and there were a lot of laughs...

Someone had their personal space encroached upon socially... LOL.

Wish I was there today, but arriving home last night I was greeted with just about the nicest "surprise" any guy could ask for and it was just a tick better than lapping; lemme put it that way... maybe that's why she told me she went to one more store to find that particular coffee.

Can't wait to hear your stories and see some pics!

Edit: Here are some snapshots I took...

For Informational info on the stangs. White testing Mule ran a 2:04 and theory of 2:01 with leather and all!! Maximum Motorsports the same day ran 2:00 with thier championship AI car. To say the least I am very happy.

Sunday the Fox ran 1:59 Theory and 2:01 real, which was 1 sec slower than goal. We made some adjustments but had a loose condition that was not correctable till back at the shop with a lift. Also some realignment needed.

I wanted to personally thank Dana, Airforce, Loren, Scotty, Todd, Frush, "Bull" and the rest of the Haggis team, and especially for the guys that busted ass from Arizona to make the challenge! We had a very successful test with Modified magazine. It basically exceeded all expectations they had and has set the stage for future car tests as well as equipment tests. Guys we are on the way to the top!
