Default FC At Buttonwillow Questions

I'd like to try a few things for those who are going to participate in the Buttonwillow FC. I'd like to make changes to the Hdcp system to incorporate some of the alterations we talk about, but never seem to make.

Like Track Factors and Winner Penalties

I will make sure to add the new Forced Induction categories as we discussed.

However are there any other changes you think need to be made?

Also who are our past winners? Lorin, Kee and ???

Stock SVT is going to start at a base of 7 and with your mods (do you have an ORP?) you will probably get knocked one level to slightly modded 6.

I put Stock SVT's and Stock 2.3's in the same group.

Weight was definitely one of the issues we talked about earlier too. I think there was one more too, but I can't remember it. Were we happy with the tire HDCP's? It seems like some of the Ala-Cart HDCP's were a bit excessive too, but I can't remember which ones?

Thanks David! From where I stand (in the pits with the current drivers) the auto trans is very important to a few very enthusiastic Focus guys

Weight is getting more options as well, I have also added the "track" factors, which allows you to give more or less strength to a given area based on track.

For example, streets of willow will have a factor that gives less weight to tires and engine and more to suspension, big willow will give more weight to engine and tires and keep suspension about even, buttonwillow will probably be close to a wash from what I can see. We'll see.

I've made 80% of the change, and should be able to finish the rest this weekend with ya'll to be able to configure your hdcp's again by tuesday or so as to get an idea.

The website has been updated with the new engine parameters including new weight handicaps and options and finally in the ala-cart section, there is the ability to select an automatic tranny which will give you 2 seconds back.

I have the struture for the Track Factors but I've not built them into the site yet.

But for now most people should see new handicaps, not sure they will be much closer, but at least now I think we have enough options that to get it more even will just a few adjustments here and there.

Nik is going to be prototyping a second type of system at the buttonwillow event as well, which is also very nice and might end up working better overall, so we'll see.

Lasty, I have changed FC a bit, so now you can sign up for an event without paying at the FC site. It refers anyone wanting to pay for the FC event to the Redline Track Events site.

Just went through it, I'm now at 6.25 points.

Althought, your weight selections read:
2200-
2200-2500
2500-2700
2700-2300
3000+

Should be 2700-3000?

Everyone should end up with higher hdcp's.

The only way you should be at 0 is if you have over 300whp, Hoosiers, Coilovers, and are completely gutted!
