Bah. Just use the GIMP. It's been out for Linux and BSD for a long time, but the Windows version seems to work pretty well! No only is it almost as good as photoshop, but it's free! I have had problems with it locking up once on windows 2000 but it doesn't take the whole computer with it. It just stops responding and you can kill it and live a happy life.
