So I tinted my tail lights, and was just wondering. Is there any way I can make them shine like the rest of the car? I tinted them, and then clear coated them. Should I do some wetsanding then buff them? I'm not really much of a detailer....

I just did mine recently.
I didn't clear them though, what I did was apply a couple coats of Niteshade and let it dry overnight. Then wet sanded them with 600 grit and after that I hit them with 3M polishing compound about 5 times and then about four coats of wax to get the finish you see below. I am still thinking I should clear them but I'm glad I got them like this first. ![]()

You need to use professional car clear coat. But seriously, go do a search in Exterior Mods. There are a million topics on the same question. dave.

I'm not sure what you can do now other than wet sand and polish and reclear them. They may do allright with just the wetsand and polish without reclearing though. I've found that Duplicolor clear works fairly well but it does require some effort to get a good shine out of it.
