so i have a 07 zx3 ses, and on friday nights i deliver the worlds worst pizza (Dominos). that pizza will clean your body out better then exlax, lol. but anyways so every night after working i try to leave my windos open and i vacum and wash my car the morning after, but still my car smells stail and moldy cause those hoy bags that the pizzas are in. My Q is is there any foam or inter cleaner that i can use to get this smel out. my 9 year old son even thinks it smells bad, i drive all night with the windows open to avoid it getting worse while i am delivering. HELP!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One option that you have is to quit your job, which I'm sure us highly unlikely and not a great option. The second option would be to simply mask the smell. I have found success with Meguiar's Odor Eliminator, which comes in a Yellow/Clear bottle and can be bought at all auto parts stores. You can also purchase some Wonder Wafers and place them under the seats. This should HELP, but like I said, the only way to kill a smell is to eliminate what's causing the smell. dave.

I used to smoke in my car. A LOT. I could never get rid of the smoke smell for much more than a day or two...Why? Because I continued to smoke in the car. 2 years ago, I stopped smoking and obviously, there was no more smoking in the car. It took some cleaning and some time, but that smell went away after a few weeks. dave.

This may seem a bit odd, but what about kitty litter? I know the Ford dealer I used to work for put that in the vehicles that smelled pretty bad, and left the windows down for the day. Only thing I'm not sure on is how long they left it in, if it was just for the day, or if they brought the car in the garage over night, and then cleaned it out the next day.......Obviously after that kind of treatment you would want a good air freshener. Me personally; I get the ones that stick in your air vents.

Have you tried shampooing your carpets/ seats? Then using automotive fibrease on the seats? I would give that a shot as well.
I usually don't have a stinky car but I always keep it clean, I notice that when I shampoo the seats/ carpet it smells brand new. I think there is also a spray you can spray inside your vents, but I don't see this doing much. |
