Thumbs up New Car -- What to Do?

We are taking delivery of our new family hauler, a Mazda5. God bless Mazda for putting six seats in a car that you can get with a manual.

Anyhow, I declined spending $400 for "first place finish" from the dealer as I figured it wasn't a good value.

So what should I do to protect the car, both inside and out?

Exterior is silver (think CD silver for Foci) and the interior is black cloth. It has Mazda floormats.

Being that we have a 2.5 year old and a 6 month old, we plan to put Wet Okole (www.wetokole.com) seat covers on, so the seats will have a nice neoprene barrier.

I plan on getting the windows tinted.

So what are your thoughts/recommendations for protecting the paint, and protecting the interior?

Is it brand spanking new?

Optimum Opti-Seal on the paint.

Apply it every 6 months or so to maintain protection on the surface.

Opti-Seal has UV inhibitors and will block all UV rays that fade the paint. I use it religiously on my car.

Just get a good UV protectant on everything you can.
If you have the money, a clear bra for the front, and they actually make a "window shield" now, that goes on the windshield to protect from those tiny rock chips and what not.

Megs #40 is good for interior. Great UV protectant.
