Default SPI Diablo...

Sorry if this has been covered, if so I must have missed it... But do you have a date expected to have SPI Diablo's ready? Also, I have your CAI, Spark Plug Wires, and a Magnaflow exhaust. Does the chip need to be custom burned for these mods? Sorry, I'm LD when it comes to car stuff so any and all info. is much appreciated.

Thanks!

Rusty

The only things that you would ever need a custom burn for are - Larger Injectors/Recalibrated MAF or to follow suit with some sort of Forced INduction fuel management

The average mods you will not need it for

I dont know about the availability of the chip but I just wanted to let you know that you do not need a custom burn for just those few basic mods

Tin:

I have a Diablo, but I had to send in the ECU to get a read and a custom burn.

Jim 2k SPI 15k on the Diablo since the read and NO problems. BTW, my code is FVV9.

Who can I get a Diablo from for the SPI? I've been waiting for Focussport, but I'm not seeing it happening, so I'd like to know who has them for me for cheap. Also, do all SPI have a similar code? Consider me rather clueless in all this stuff...

Thanks!

Why would you get a Superchip instead?

I bought mine in an f-ed up group buy ( DON'T EVER DO THAT!!!!!!) My cal code for my chip is FVV9DSODR Chip # 224. Call Cajun, he'd the owner of 2d's performance. Do a search and you'll get his phone # and address. He'll get you what you need. If I were ever to buy a chip again, though, it would be a Superchip.
Check on the passenger door jamb by the hinges and you'll see a little paper tag that has your code. If it's not there, it's on top of your ECU, behind your glovebox. DO NOT DO ANYTHING AROUND YOUR ECU WITH THE KEY IN THE IGNITION!!!!!! I use caps here for a reason. If your ECU is powered up (key in ingnition) and you do anything with your ECU, you just killed it and will need another.

You can do more for the same $ as the Diablo. Rev limiters, EGR, O2 sensors, etc can al be tweaked with this chip, where the Diablo cannot. Speak to Danny (Cajun) and he'll fill you in. No BS from him, just the facts for you to chew on.....

Sorry, I don't have a date for the SPI chips. There was talk about current chips crossing over, but we don't have any SPI customers willing to let us "experiment" with their SPI.

*sigh*
okay okay okay! She's all yours! sheesh. When i get the insurance check from the accident, I'll drive her up to you and take off the back bumper, so I can drop it off to get painted. Then rent the rental car their insurance company is paying for, and you can have her for a while. just don't keep her like 3 weeks or anything. I don't think they'll pay for a rental that long. Okay? And if you blow it up, I'll put your nuts in a vice. and then 'borrow' one of yours till my car is fixed. that svt is pretty sweet...

*edit* i'm just playing Randy, I'd never do that. I'd probably collect insurance on it, and buy my own SVT. *edit*

The chip seems to be working well. I think that SocalFocus needs to give us a report when she gets around to it.
