Default SVT high performance clutch options / Feedback wanted!

I've made some progress with this. Its not a matter of IF anymore. Now its mostly a matter of how much its going to cost to make and what we can retail it for. I'll post more when I have something to report.

Well, in this case torque is slightly more critcal than horsepower. However, yes I'm sure you'd be covered with one of the options that are being worked on.

If you are interested in a high performance clutch option for your SVT, please tell me what kind of TORQUE you'd like for it to hold. And if you could list if you want it for street, road course, or drag that would be great, too. And what kind of realistic price would you expect to pay. Thanks.

Torque: Hold up to 280 ft lbs
Street application for DD, nice and smooth clutch pedal, Disc type is open to me. At this time I have a Segmented Kevlar Disc/Aluminum Flywheel (Spec Stage2). I would pay 850 for flywheel clutch combo. :-D

This is awesome Randy! I will be purchasing one of these.

Torque: 280-300 lb/ft
Application: street/track use
Price w/flywheel: $800-$900

I can't wait to see a finished product.

Alex

^^^I would have to agree with the above statemet.

Tq: 250-300 (maybe offer different stages eventually)
Application: Mostly street, w/ some track use
Price: With flywheel, throwout bearing, and alighnment tool: 800-900 bucks.

*****Would like to see something that has a decent lifespan too. Dont feel like changing out the clutch every 10-15k.

If you could make something that is upgradable like in my situation ill need a clutch for about 230-260 tq then later down the road ill get a biger turbo and need to change the clutch so ill want a better clutch for like 300-350tq the only options svt owners have now is the buy the CM setup with the flywheel wich is $850 i think and then have to spend onther 850 down the road thats just too much if you could just sell the disk and presure plate seperate that would be great. If you could seel the total package for around 800 make it as good as the CM setup you would sell alot of them.

At this point, I have at least 3 options for SVT clutch kit that is being worked on. And they should all swap in and out, meaning the parts would be interchangeable so you can upgrade if needed without buying an entire new kit. Hopefully, we'll have one more option, but its too soon to say. Prices are being looked at - we're trying to get it as low as possible, but this stuff isn't cheap. I'll have more to report later this week I hope.

OK, test units are now being manufactured.

We should have them in a couple of weeks. One test car is already lined up. I'll post more info when I have it.

Still looking for more feedback, though.

It could be very soon, I just don't want to jinx it. I don't have a solid date. Once we do the test and it gets the green light, it won't be long, though.
