Exclamation FocusSport Race Header Questions Please Help

My name is Chris, and i have an 03 Focus ZX3, i have it straight piped, with a ricer muffler on the back, and today i purchased the FocusSport Race header with the flex pipe extension. Now what i have heard from other people across the web is that the O2 sensor will make CEL go on, and i want to stop that from happening. also i have heard that the header makes the car deafining loud. is this the case??? Please let me know.

Yes, with a straight pipe and race header its going to make your ears bleed. Quite loud, indeed. Though, now that I read that again, a straight pipe and a muffler...most would call that an exhaust system. Right, is that what you are saying?

And yes you will have a CEL from the lack of a catalytic. One of our flashers can be purchased to disable the rear oxygen sensor that triggers the CEL:

Unhappy Re: FocusSport Race Header Questions Please Help

I suppose you could call it an exhaust system... its just straight piped from the flex pipe back, and at the tip i have a "muffler" one of those resonator looking things from auto zone, a 3ARacing muffler, to be exact. But i dont really want to pay $350 for a chip, just to make the CEL go out. is there another way?
