    Default DTC Code P1131

P1131 - Lack of HO2S-11 Switch, Sensor Indicates Lean A HEGO sensor indicating lean at the end of a test is trying to correct for an over-rich condition. The test fails when the fuel control system no longer detects switching for a calibrated amount of time. See Possible Causes for DTC P1130

    So here is DTC P1130
P1130 - Lack of HO2S-11 Switch, Fuel Trim at Limit The HEGO Sensor is monitored for switching. The test fails when the HO2S fails to switch due to circuit or fuel at or exceeding a calibrated limit. Electrical:
Short to VPWR in harness or HO2S
    Water in harness connector
    Open/Shorted HO2S circuit
Corrosion or poor mating terminals and wiring
    Damaged HO2S
    Damaged PCM
    Fuel System:
    Excessive fuel pressure
    Leaking/contaminated fuel injectors
    Leaking fuel pressure regulator
Low fuel pressure or running out of fuel
    Vapor recovery system
    Induction System:
    Air leaks after the MAF
    Vacuum Leaks
    PCV system
    Improperly seated engine oil dipstick
    EGR System:
    Leaking gasket
    Stuck EGR valve
    Leaking diaphragm or EVR
    Base Engine:
    Oil overfill
    Cam timing
    Cylinder compression
Exhaust leaks before or near the HO2S(s)
A fuel control HO2S PID switching across 0.45 volt from 0.2 to 0.9 volt indicates a normal switching HO2S.

    Got this a couple times.

    Any ideas?

Here is the story, about 1 time out of 20 when i start my car it just wont idle right for a few minutes. builds almost NO vaccuum and just sounds like complete [censored]. If you very lightly step on the throttle and bring the revs to around 1500, it builds vacuum normally (which is still not low enough i dont think, around 10mm Hg).

    Any ideas?

My car is NA and I have this light pop about once a month.
I'd love to find out WTF is causing it.

Monitor O2 sensors with scan tool while test driving (helps to have a driver). See if the 02 sensors are actually not switching or dropping out to confirm.

pull your narrowband o2 sensor and check to see if its fouled. i got this code half a year ago and replaced my o2 sensor with a bosch. that solved the problem until just recently when i got the same code again. figure ill swap the o2 sensor again. the car is really rich so it doesnt necessarily surprise me that this happens.

Zack I tried the o2 thing. I went from OEM to Bosch and back to OEM and the code popped up with both new sensors.

i have a couple sensors from my last car. i'll try those.

i'm also getting P0171 - system lean bank one. This code is more common. I get it sometimes once, then again in 20 miles, sometimes not again for a week.

Perhaps this is why, on occasion, my car just wont idle right.
