No, its right the tune is half mine and a tunner to be named later; some even call him the devil .

What he forgot to tell you was, that he's not using the intake tube that came with the kit.

Its a custom one off using a mustang gt maf it the stock housing 60lbs injectors,9.6 to 1, 5.7 crank pulley and I little extra something done to the cylinder head.

That would be a correct statement 99dot....

To clarify, the car was tuned WITHOUT the CAT. I lost around 35 hp the second we put it on. And the car runs like junk with it.... Hence, my sig.

I'm still working out some issues on the car. To be sure, getting to this point has not been fun, especially with the SVT's stupid ECU..

I do believe 300 is possible, but as has been said before it's gonna take some doin'

Honestly, a lot of us should just have stopped at 245~255...
We might have had more reliable cars! Ones that didn't end up in pieces...

True enough, PWSC was never ment to be a high power kit, its a great out of the box turn key kit, which provides hours of enjoyment in the stock form.

Weeks, months and years of fustration other wise.

Ah truth!! If only I would have had some restraint and just been happy with the monster that was. Well thats what im in this for is *Cough* Joy *Cough* of working on my cars.
I can say though Ive been lucky no serious problems yet, just the replacement of the starter on the PW car. argh

No damping, sustained high RPM, and undersized ARP rod bolts FTL!

What is left of that lump is still in the corner of my garage rusting away. I still need to salvage the re-worked head and proto cams off that thing.

SVT crank, Eagle rods, and Probe pistons (~9.2:1 CR w/SVT head).

I ran the undampened 5.7" crank pulley - IMO that had a big factor in the rod bolt failure ... classic overloaded (not over/under torqued) tensile failure.

Engine ran fine for my daily commute a week prior to the event, ~6 passes down the dragstrip, the drive to Mid-Ohio, and three 20-min NASA TT heats. Could feel the engine starting let go in the 4th TT heat near the end of the big straight (sustained high RPM) but managed to hold together around the track until turn #1 (just past the pits of course).

I am surprised with the rob bolt failure, I didn't know any of these rods failed. Anything to prevent this in the future?

This is why I decided to just build the bottom end, replace the top end with a ported head and specific cams and just be done with it. I'm not interested in more boost, more compression maybe

keeping it together will come down to the person tuning the car and the fuel you are running!

LOL I will try not but really who knows at this point. I might get water/meth to hold it together. I hope my tuner is good enough to do it

I have been running 101oct for the last 10 months and I have had zero problems ( minus the starter) car runs great and pulls like a crazy dog on a leash! I had my car tuned by massive/ logan motor sports and with the tune have always been in the safe zone.
So im sure with some good tuning and the right add on's you can make 300whp no problem.

Two cents (ca ching)
