i don't think he was trying to say that leaving your bottle heater connected to a constant 12v source can create a fire... it can however cause an explosion.
bov's can definitely fail... it's rare but it absolutely happens.
if you leave your bottle warmer on and your bov fails, and assuming your bottle is well attached to the vehicle, the bottle will explode when the pressure builds to high from the heat, and it will literally DESTROY the car it's in.
