Another reason why the first couple might be cheaper is to move them quicker. People are more likely to buy a product that has been proven to work well. It makes sense.

That being said, i know several people who have already ordered parts from jayracing and haven't had any problems.

In this moment, if he wants 1k for the manifold many people will pay it for.

Did you see the Focus Central manifold once? I have it, and was the worst piece ever made what I installed in the car, and cost around 500.

I just need the the finished piece in Zetec engine and the dyno sheet, later will talk about the price

I have personally purchased 2 things already from them and they both were of great quality. Also, they were VERY quick in making them for me and the both of them were custom pieces.

I don't think it's unusual at all to offer the first test pieces at a discount because they haven't been dyno test as yet. Also, the initial price was given before he had a completed manifold and since then I would guess they have a much better idea of how much time goes into making one.

Keep watching this thread or the one on FF and you will probably soon see the first before and after dyno test of any intake manifold on either of these boards.............at least the first one I've ever seen.

So it looks like the price will be between $700-$750 and will fit both the SVT and standard Zetec. Also, it looks like testing might possibly be done around the 18th by Focus Power if everything works out as planned.

I bet a built turbo zetec will see 30whp at the same boost pressure.

depends...boost levels will change due to the differant manifold...if u leave ur controler the same i bet the boost will change.

Yea the pressure will go down but the power will go up. So if you up it to show the same pressure as before the mani there will be some huge gains.

eaxctly. but what i was saying is that u cant go off boost all the time. 14 psi on 2 diff cars with one stock manifold and not stock intake manifold will GREATLY differ.

Well, I think it all depends on where you have your boost controller referenced too. If you have it connected to the turbo outlet, yes the boost will probably drop a bit. However, if you have it connected to the intake manifold, it should remain the same. I guess for the most accurate test, it should be connected to the turbo outlet so that the airflow remains fairly constant for testing. It really doesn't matter for us turbo guys who can easily turn up the boost for any loss in psi due to more efficiency but the supercharger guys can't do that so the more constant airflow the better.

Maybe I don't understand turbos as well as I think, but wouldn't you still see the same amount of boost as before if you're using a boost controller to control the wastegate? The wastegate doesn't care what you changed on the intake; it will still open at a set PSI.

The psi at the turbo outlet can vary from the psi at the intake manifold seeing that air has to flow through the intercooler and all the piping and what not. The peak boost may or may not vary that much but how the boost comes on will. For instance, my boost came on sooner when I switched the boost controller line from the turbo outlet to the intake manifold. Here are a few runs on my G-Tech. The black one is with the manual boost controller referenced to the turbo outlet whereas the green and red lines are with the MBC referenced to the intake manifold. The main reason you will see a drop in boost by adding a high flowing IM is that your MBC may be reading from the turbo outlet whereas your boost gauge is probably reading from your IM.

Would it be possible to make these with the TB inlet coming out the other side?

You would have to contact them but I don't think it would be a problem.
