Default Compression Test Results

Cyl/Comp
1 - 130
2 - 150
3 - 169
4 - 174

Looks like the previous owners 3+ years of a 100 shot(n2o) + my few months of high heat JRSC finally took it's toll.

Good thing I have an extra motor lying around

Thats what I ended up doing this week-end to....

All good though. Thank god.

End result of car not being able to start was a dirty Pro-M.

They should be all about the same value. I don't think it matters what the numbers are specifically, as long as they don't vary too much between the cylinders. I think from 100-250 is a good ballpark. When I did mine a while back they were all about 210-212

it is not too bad.... if you have another motor laying around, add a 100 shot until it is really gone. ;-)

Compression varies... but the cylinders should be within 3% of each other IIRC

I've always gone by 5%, but yea compression will vary relative to the setup.

actually instead of doing a 100 shot i think you should hook up like a 90lb/hr injector and run pure oxygen down 1 1/4 mile pass and see how it runs. that would be sooo fun someday i want to do that

I don't think you would make it more than a couple of feet...

Holy hell Andrei.

This thread is darn near four years old

It's the same as the spark plugs.

Stock engine? Yes.

Non-stock supporting mods aka cause of bad comp? Yes.
