Nah, it's fast enough already. I don't need to be spinning 3rd gear on my daily commute.

I personally like how their "press" section talks about installing there electric supercharger on an integra gsr... but the pics of the gsr show that its turbocharged and the electric supercharger is no where in sight... and they claimed an 84hp gain at the wheels on this car... such bs....

I like the turbo Acura in the Press tab...
ummm...so where is the electric poopercharger? The one pictured is powered by exhaust gas, not electrons.

In theory,an electric supercharger/turbocharger would work. However,in reality, the motor required would need a huge amount of voltage/amperage to operate efficiently. These have been around for a while, and if they actually worked with any real world results, would be much more popular. Therer is no free lunch.

Oh man, even the picture of the "caddy" blower is a vortech unit. You can see vortech on the freakin' thing.
I hope these guys get in some serious trouble for fraudulant behavior.

Reminds of Thomas Knight Turbos. They made several different turbo kits for the Ford Probe GT but no two were alike. They also had an electric supercharger consisting of battery packs, a big DC motor and a centrifual blower. Always shoddy service and crazy pricing schemes. They got a REALLY bad rep on www.probetalk.com (biggest Ford Probe board).
I think they still have a website up at www.boosthead.com

Notice that everyone that posts in the forum has at most 5 posts. I'm sure they moderate that with a heavy pimp hand.

Wow. The concept is sound, but just reading the forum and FAQ page, that site is 100% bogus.

I counted no less than 11 different types/brands/styles of electric "superchargers" on Ebay while looking for a real one. I don't know who is dumber the Dolt that actually shells out the $30+ bucks or the Idiot that has a pallet of these tinkertoy fans sitting in their garage trying to dump them. It sure makes looking for an S.C. deal on Ebay something of a chore wading through the muck.

That thing is so damn dumb it might just work half assed. I'd like to put it on my truck for 100 bucks. However come on, 100 bucks and great quality.... yea sure. The next problem is when your sitting at idle this thing is forcing supposidly 8psi down the throat of the car so your only option is to have it on a switch. So now you have it on a switch so your either 8psi or 0.
edit: we all know that civic with the supra wing is a 10 second car - Also, is it just me or does that schematic show an Earth ground on a car? - Next look here, whats wrong with this picture? http://www.electricsupercharger.net/press.php# Anything, besides this guy calls himself Ben Franklin? Yea thats a real turbo with a wastegate, oil lines etc.... -next, it sounds like a ****ing vacuum cleaner http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6kvkR_NX8w

Ok we tried one of these on my friends 240sx didn't buy one but used the same stuff (small electric fan) ha and if you put it on a switch it won't idle because the force that sucks/pushes through the intake can hardly spin it so it runs really rich. Leave it on and it idles higher and runs lean. NO extra power ever but at about 4k it's starts to whine haha just food for thought.

useless post, but the dyno sheet is even fake. IIRC, all dyno sheets the tq and hp must always cross at 5250rpm due to math. this one most definetly does not.

One of the guys on the E-supercharger forum posted this after just purchasing one.
"I did install it, and it does run up the full 8 PSI as far as I can tell. I don't have a boost gauge hooked up, but I got huge gains from this. I will have to post my dyno sheet that I did get from my auto shop that I go to." So not only an idiot here, but if it ever did boost 8lbs I'm sure he had the fueling to back it up. LOL E-supercharger $50-$800 4 Optima red tops ~ $720 High output alternator $200-$400 TOTAL with averages $1,370 not counting supporting mods if it would work Its not even economical, I don't know what the **** people are thinking. You are better off running a separate small gas engine driven blower than trying to make this work.
