My Braille battery will easily fit next to the fuse box and make enough room for a fair amount of stuff.

Patrick, my trusty [fj] mechanic, says mounting the exchanger is no biggie. I'm most worried about mounting a large reservoir.

^ They make reservoirs for mustangs and such that are molded to fit in the spare tire well. Just a bit more pumping/hose routing and whatnot, but its doable. You could always convert the wiper tank to hold aswell.

Yeah, I thought "Lackland AFB" in my location would be a tip that it's the Air Force . I agree, it doesn't feel good to be owed money. If I had it right now instead of a week from now, I would be much happier and busy with ordering parts.

Ok I was going to wait to say this until tomorrow, but...I get paid tomorrow. That means I'm going to be ordering a monstrous amount of parts.

Here's what I'm ordering: J&S safeguard, 60# injectors, MAFia, KB B-A-P, copper plugs, Zetec dipstick, vacuum distro block, 2.5" Zetec flexpipe, and most of the water-to-air intercooler setup. I can't wait for boost any longer!!!!

Vacuum distro block has 5 ports on it to tap into a vacuum source. It's so I don't have to use a bunch of t-fittings. Just stick in one vac block then hook my boost gauge and wastegate up to it.

The SVT flexpipe is too short and too much piping would have to be made to mate up with my downpipe. My downpipe was only half-completed (ordered it that way) so I have to get a shop to tie it in once the kit is installed...gonna be loud the first time .

The SVT dipstick does not fit with the Top Speed manifold so a Zetec one is required.

Alright, ordered almost all those parts this morning. 3" MAF tube is on back order for 2 weeks. I will be getting everything else, though, and will be able to install the J&S and boost-a-pump.

Steve, you have a PM about water to air shtuff.

They're not secrets.

Here's what I'm ordering: 26"x7"x2" heat exchanger, 12.25x12.25x4.5 water-to-air intercooler, Flojet 3.3gpm pump, and a "custom" reservoir that will hold a little over 1/2 gal of water. FrozenBoost.com is a great source for most of this stuff. Got the pump on eBay. Making the reservoir.

Actually, after what you said in PM, I just want to get one from Advance Auto. From your dimensions, 10"x4" PVC equates to 125 cubic in. That's .52 gal. The 2 1/2 qt reservoirs from Advance are .625 gal.

Also, did you get the PM about how much 3" I/C pipe I need and what kind of couplers? I want to run blow-through MAF.

You are really going to have to mock up the turbo & intercooler & have your maf tube before you can be sure what to order.

I'd guess a long 90 off the intercooler and then your maf tube and then a 45 to the throttle body. You will for sure need a reducer to go from 3 inch to whatever your turbo outlet it. Then probably another 45 hose and maybe a 3 inch hump hose. that should get you to your intercooler as I have it pictured in my head.

Measured the compressor outlet and it's ~2".

I asked other places, but didn't get an answer yet. The oil and water inlets/outlets seem unique on the GT28. ATP sells a fitting for the oil inlet for $14. I can't tell if it's 1/4" NPT or not so I wanted to be safe and get the specific fitting. The water ports are 14mm according to ATP and they also sell fittings for those. I just want to order all the correct fittings the first time around because it can really add up.

Ok, got some more stuff in the mail. Big shipment comes in on Thursday from CFM.

Here's what I have for now:

TurboXS dual stage boost controller and PTP T3 turbo blanket

New question: I got an analog cable today and tried datalogging my AFR gauge. I touched every single wire individually to the gauge output and got nothin on the graph. I have the equation (v*2) + 9.6 'cause that's what another guy said his AEM gauge used. Any ideas?

My AEM gauge uses v*2+10. That's the standard that most people use but depending on what you use for a ground it can be off one way or another. The best thing you can do is to use a dedicated ground to make sure you're getting the best one possible. On my mini 9 din cable the analog wire is red and that's the ONLY one I have hooked up from the mini 9 din.

EDIT: Here's the diagram bryst06 put up, looking at the end of the connector:

Like I said, I only had to use the analog 1 which was red on mine but the colors may vary. The other thing is that you need to plug it in first and then okay the pids, you can't just enter all 4 analog inputs to track and touch wires until something happens--it may not work that way. I really lucked out, I guessed that the red wire was the right one and just happened to be

Oh, I'm dumb...I wasn't hooking up a ground. Thought it just needed the analog wire touching the AEM wire. Guessing the black wire in the DIN 9 is ground. Hopefully red is analog as well! Gonna try it now.

^^I didn't use a ground on the mini 9 din cable, just on the AEM gauge itself, I think. Been a while since I checked but I'm 99% sure of that, since your xcal2 is grounded through the OBD port and the AEM is grounded as well--doesn't make sense that the cable would need to be grounded. Drain wire, maybe, but ground--nah. If it works, though, more power to ya

Right, I figured it was internally grounded. Went out and tried again. No dice. I touched every wire individually to the white output wire and blue output wire. Not sure what to do

This may be a stupid question, but you do have the mini 9 din cable hooked into your flasher, and the USB cable hooked into both your laptop and flasher, right? Definitely made that retarded mistake before
