Default Turbo Preperation Maintenance

I'm just making this thread because I'm getting some 100,000 maintenance done to my car. The other weekend I was at a Focus Cruise meet and my car was making a weird ticking sound, I took it to a family friend mechanic and it was stuck lifters so I'm getting those all replaced as well as

timing belt
water pump
timing belt tensioner
accessory belt
02 sensors
crank pulley
Idler Pulley
PCV Valve
Coil pack and Wires
Spark Plugs

I'm not too familiar with turbos in general (still learning) so I will be having my boyfriend ehancock help me out with my turbo build. But my main question is that is there anything I should do maintenance wise before I put the turbo kit on? I have all the parts but the oil lines, wideband, gauges, tune. Just the finishing parts. Any help would be appreciated. I jsut want to make sure it can be prepared as much as possible safety wise for my turbo.

And I will be making a turbo build thread since this is for the SPI and there really isnt that many threads about this other than jeffescort really.

Thanks!

I'd be looking out for a dropped valve seat. SPI's LOVE to do that.

Also, before you start the turbo build, do a compression test. There is no point in going on with the build if the motor isn't healthy. You'll just accelerate its inevitable death.

Sounds like you have a good list there. Make sure you go with a set of colder plugs as well.

Don't forget to note that this is an Automatic.

As I stated before, do a few trans services(fluid drain and replace, not flush) to update the fluid but not force it through and cause damage assoc. w/ high mileage flushes.

Thanks Drew I noted on FF but not here I guess.

I will probably take it someone to do the trans services, I also have to replace a line I guess is slightly leaking, Ill do that in spring right before I put the turbo on.

Thanks for the suggestion on colder plugs as well, I didn't know about that.
