I got this car as an early graduation present way back in December 2003 and it remained relatively stock until just recently. I have been building the car over the last 2 years and it has been a great ride. First I turbocharged the stock engine and continued to DD the car for about a year with a respectable and Mustang GT killing 265whp 265wtq.

    10 and 12 psi

After finally picking up another DD (2001 Escape) I decided to push the stock motor and found its limit after a few weeks at 340whp 340wtq. But not before running a 12.7@ 114 on about 300whp and some old drag radials.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vtWEv_E3Pwg

    18-19psi slipping clutch

video, of coarse there is no time because as any of you who have ever been to KDS know, the timing lights don't ever work for very long!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDgjHLDmYrQ

    300whp time slip

    Here is what it reads:
    Reaction: .092
    I1: 2.096
    I2: 5.584
    I3: 8.345
    MPH (I3): 88.235
    I4: 10.641

    E.T.: 12.712
    MPH: 113.467

After the motor let go, I built up a junkyard motor with the usual forged pistons and rods and a custom ported head by me. The head alone landed me a respectable 30whp gain with stock cams. With the stock cams and intake manifold still in place I made 457whp and about 450wtq on 110octane and 29psi of boost.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hd1DZvK1Fec

After realizing that, that was a **** load of torque, I decided I needed to get new cams and intake to transform some of that torque into big horsepower and I think I succeeded. After swapping the stock parts out for some Comp stage 2 cams and custom intake manifold I ended up with 50 more whp and 20 less ftlbs with 2 less psi of boost to make 504whp and 430wtq! I think that is pretty respectable for a zetec powered Ford Focus with a GT3076r.

Time slip but only on 21-22psi or about 420whp and 93octane.

Video from the next day, faster 60' but slower 1/8th because the track sucked and I was spinning 2nd

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDI6uViQkok

Now if I can just get the weather to cooperate so I can get back to the track for a new time!

Recently, I sold my previous Turbo kit and decided it was time to build the most bad ass, no compromise turbo kit ever to be installed on a street driven focus. The result, I think, was incredible. See the top for pics. Even more impressive was the power it unlocked. A best of 561whp and 434wtq. It still made more than impressive numbers at low boost as well. Here are a few dyno charts at 9, 16Psi respectively.

    Idle video

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rrHduqKgtaw

Below is a comparison of my old setup with the same GT3582r but different Kit and intake manifold. The red line is the new kit at 25psi, and the blue line is the old one at 27psi with 3" DP and no exhaust. As you can tell the new kit is making significantly more power on less boost, also note the gain in spool. I think some of this can be attributed to the new intake manifold, but also the removal of the old restrictive 3" Down pipe.

Speed IS expensive.... But honestly, your build isn't extreme at all. No Crower Rods, no Billet Main caps, stock cams, intake, etc. There are lots of areas that people have spent WAY more money than you have and made WAY less power. I just cant wait to see where you finish up at. How long before you acquire the new turbo?
