I did make 450ftlbs. Just imagine the cylinder pressures with the stock cams, steep little bump sticks they are and 9.6 compression? most hondas making that kind of torque are making well over 700whp and most people recommend 1/2" head studs for that power.

This is probably a stupid question but did you guys install the ARP studs with their moly lube, dry, or with oil? That also has a huge effect on how accurate your torque specs are.

Glad to hear there is progress made, albeit problems with the turbo process. Keep up the good work...The most I've done to my car in the last month is stick a mouse repellent bag in it and open the trunk to grab some tools .

Awesome thread. Just purchased a GT35R on a twin scroll housing will let you know the outcome.

Defiantly ready to see that. What manifold are you running?

I must say I was skeptical of the JayRacing IM but now I am a believer! It is making great power.

Made some good progress with the tune tonight, power wise any way. 433whp 350wtq SAE @23 psi It sure would be nice to have a bigger turbo! But that is the spread I was looking for from hp to tq. I can defiantly tell that the lower compression is hurting me. On the flip side I feel like the head /cam combo is getting me at least 50whp if not more.

Tuning with the mafia is new to me and I can not get the spark to follow the curve I am writing for it to. It is flat and won't climb. There is no knock, but spark is 2 deg lower than I am commanding in the places it is where I want it to be, and it just wont follow the curve I want. Is there anyway the mafia could be changing my spark?

^^Possibly. I would post something in the tuning forum if you haven't already, Randy may chime in. He tuned a higher-hp system for me with a MAFia...I'm nowhere near 400whp but I am over 300. As expected the resolution fades a bit when you are using a signal extender but you can still get the tuning solid with it. Much better than pegging the MAF and dumping fuel, that's for sure.

Dont fall in love with the intake manifold... LoL I'm glad to know that its making some power. At least I I'll know that I didnt waste money when I bought it. Thanks for being the guinea pig man.

Sweet. I see the torque is lower like Jared wanted. Is the head still lifting?

Everything seems fine with the gasket. So far we are very happy with the way the car is making power. We plan on pushing it some more in the upcoming weeks.

Yeah, didn't think you had a new turbo considering Jared was saying things are still being worked out. Those are really good numbers for that turbo. That's really good hp/psi ratio.

That cold air was really helping us out as the power the car actually made was the 504, the SAE correction stole 23hp.

We are gonna play with the cam and ignition timing but I think there is still some power in it at that boost. Cams are 0,0 and the spark still won't climb like I want, plus it was only 14deg. The other thing is that the boost is starting to drop slightly after 6K I believe we had just under 27psi @ 7K. The turbo may be running out of steam? But, It did make it to 500whp which is great because I distinctly remember a certain someone telling me there was NO WAY a piece of crap Garrett GT3076 would ever see 500.

When you get your money together I think you know what turbo you need to buy

Hopefully china will get you going in the mean time.

Yeah about that...what's a ghetto fix in the mean time for connecting the wastegate and dumptube together? I don't want to modify the dumptube if I don't have to. I also have to modify my dang downpipe because the neck of the turbo is longer than a Garrett. The thing that sucks about that is...if I switch back to Garrett I will have to mod the downpipe again, so...

Pretty awesome to see 500whp with a gt3076. A guy on FF was bragging about making 450 with an HX40 @ 30psi...as if that were impressive...

Congrats, man. That is great. In my opinion, you should forget the bigger turbo, keep that intake mani, and enjoy the car.

Yeah, I am considering a 3076 with an upgraded compressor wheel. It is good for a little more power but spooles up even better because its lighter.
