Default Questions about FS turbo kit

I have an '07 Focus ST with the 2.3 Duratec and I really like the looks of the FocusSport turbo kit but I have a couple of questions.

Does the kit make allowances for the supply/return of oil & water or is it left up to the installer to find a place to tap in.

Approx. what RPM does the turbo spool up and start making boost?

Does the kit include/recommend a thicker head gasket if you add the intercooler?

First thing... the kit is EXCELLENT. Don't hesitate to purchase it.

Yes... the kit is all-inclusive... comes with everything you need. Oil feed and return lines are included. The oil return line comes with a specially drilled and tapped oil plug to screw the oil return line into (such that you do not have to drill/tap the oil pan if you don't want to.) You also have the option to drill/tap the pan if you wish (can be done any time after the fact, and is an excellent time to install the balance shaft delete kit.) Super easy.

The optional water line kit includes feed and return lines as well... the plug right into the existing heater core lines with no modifications anywhere. Super easy.

The turbo will produce slight boost as soon as about 1500 rpm under WOT with the 2.3L if you lugg the hell out of it. The turbo begins to seriously come online around 2200-2500 rpm. Peak torque is about 3200-3600 rpm. Peak horsepower is right up there close to redline. Take a look around the boards and on the FS website for for dyno graphs to illustrate.

No... no head gasket necessary. FS states the stock block will handle 11.5 psi with the intercooler with no problems. So far, myself and many others agree.

Thanks very much for the input guys. You gotta love that dyno graph, so nice and flat up around the 250 mark. It looks extremely streetable. I gotta get me a stage 2 kit and go hunting VW GTI's. LOL

Couple more questions.

How is the car for overheating with the stage 2 kit? (I see a lot of stop & go traffic)
Would you recommend doing a clutch kit? If yes, which one? I don't want an ON/OFF switch.

Well you do have the waterline kit that added safty. Im in michigan have the kit on now over 50k and no over heating.

For clutch kit. The exedy stage 2 is very nice for the power output that the stage 2 has. And no its not an on/off clutch.

And also, the oil should return to the oil pan and be tapped above the oil level mark.
