Default New Product Question/Idea

It was a tough decision on what intake to go with.
Im sure many Focus owners go through the same thought process of:
Wanting the benefits of a CAI,without having to worry about Hydro Lock.
I constantly see threads on "Should I go with the FSWerks Cool Flo or the Steeda SRI?"
For me the decision was a little easier as my Focus ST is my sunny Day weekend Car,so Hydro Lock is of minor concern as I can pick and choose when to drive the Car.
Plus I love the look of the Cool Flo matched with the engine cover.
For added piece of mind:
Would it be possible for FSWerks to offer some type of "mask" to cover the ITG filter?
Injen offers a "mask" or "cover",but the fitment looks sloppy.
To have a mask from FSWerks would be Golden and I feel could seriously help in the decision process.
It would offer just a little more "piece of mind" to those contemplating Intakes.
Now,of course it would not be fool proof....if water was too deep.
But for regular rain and such...This could be great.
But,it would have to have the FSWerks logo on it!
Heres a link to the Injen style:
http://www.autoanything.com/air-filt...A2582A0A0.aspx
Let me know what any one else thinks.
Could FSWerks make one?
I sure would buy one!

k&n has a "drycharger" that i use. it slips over the filter and repels water quite well

Thanks for the recommendation, but I don't think there is a need for us to do this since there are already products available to achieve what you are after. Just make sure they aren't too restrictive. That could throw off your Air/Fuel ratio.

Hey Jeff, post a link to the K&N one. Where can we find it?

I thought the Injen fitment in some of the pics really looked "sloppy"....is the K&N a tighter fit?
Or should it be mildly loose so as not to crush the filter?

it should be tight enough that it wont come off, but lose enough that it wont tear or like you said, crush the filter.

Its about the same as the Injen ones. I still have my old FIPK setup with the "sock" still on it. It did work well i must say even after i hit a giant puddle of water back when it last rained hard and i was living in Northridge CA where the water has NOWHERE to go but pile up into the intersections. But mine also came with the kit. I would recommend getting one if you live in those states that have the potential to hydrolock your engine.

I bought an outerwear with my F2 CAI, I don't know who it's made by though. I highly recommend using one for sure.
