Thanks for the info, I was curious what size do Focus owners usually run and how much it differs from OE wheel/ tire size..?

The Focus runs 49-52 offsets stock depending on model. Stock tire sizes range 14" through 17". While I don't remember the 14" tire size off hand, the others are 195/60/15, 205/50/16, and 215/45/17.

Typical aftermarket wheels range from +40 offset with 42 and 45 being the more commonly preferred. Size wise, mostly 17", some 18", and a few 19". Lately there has been a trend for stretch and poke, changing typical widths and offsets. Also, the availability of wide body Focus RS parts has resulted in a few running 17x8 and 17x9. Matching tires sizes vary greatly.

Oh I see, so pretty high offsets. I am not familiar with Focus suspension or steering geometry, but I am trying to fix my scrub radius.

Currently I have a 17x7 +38 wheel, but was forced to use a 10mm spacer to clear my Brembo's. I figure if I use a 17x8 wheel with better caliper clearance and higher offset, I can bring my scrub radius back into line.

BTW, my application is a 2002 Infiniti G20, found the forum by searching for Pro Race 1.2's on Google.

^are your brembo a off the self after market GT kit from brembo? or a oem brembo caliper from another car the you made to work with your setup? regardless, the 17x8 et40 SHOULD clear your brakes, i have plenty of room and i have those wheels with a aftermarket brembo GT kit

My Brembo's are off of a Sentra SE-R Spec V, bolts up to the G20, no problem. Ah, I see.. I believe the GT kit would be much larger than my Spec V Brembo's..

I noticed that you are in Culver City, any chance you ever go to the Thursday night meets over at Costco? I have seen a Focus over there a few times with 1.2's and Brembo's..

Haha ya! My brother and I were sitting here being lazy watchin a movie and we hear the doorbell ring and we are like what? Who is that? Cuz our friends that always come over all have modded cars so we can here them coming for awhile before they get to our house. I was like well it might be my rims...and it was! Very fast delivery!! Bolt pattern is 4x114.3

Really just depends if anything is available now.

17x8 is a special order from the UK only. The US warehouse does not carry that width.
