Because they are normally $140/pair. Hence the title of the thread, "Nice Deal..."
And all the specs I can find are on the website I linked in the OP. Not much there, but a quick Google search might bring some results also.

Still i think i would stick with components...I prefer a/d/s....or maybe polk audio.....Soundstream are ok also........

i would agree but if your looking for a nice sounding system on a budget those are great speakers! you just cant beat em for the price.

Ok, are these supposed to be $30 for a pair of speakers, because I just received mine after paying $70 thinking I would be getting 4 speakers and only received 2. Called Best Buy and they said that I should have only received the 2 speakers. Has anyone run into this problem??

I installed mine thsi past weekend. Great speakers for the money, now I just need to get rid of the rattles. I didn't think these things would have as much "bump" as they do.
