Funny guy. Not to bash, but 28 hz seems low, you doing comps? Mine is at 37 and sounds wonderful with rock, country, alternative and most rap although the last I dont care to much for. I wonder if could a mirrored set up on the opposite side of the car? That would be really cool.

nope there is a method to my madness....with a low tuning frequency you get a fairly flat frequency response for a vented box but still get the higher output being a more efficient enclosure...plotted it out in WinISD...should sound really good

Well this one is sealed. He has built many ported, so depending on how you wanted it ported, he could/would maybe do it. You'd have to ask him.

not trying to be an a$$ but you are MECP certified and don't know how to build a box..??
or you don't have a tool to make a cut?? u can go to home depot and ask them to cut some pieces, they will not charge anything for it..

for more airspace glass the back half, lose the factory side carpet cover (will net more volume) then flat fascia board (recess the sub even, you'll have room). voila.

just wondering, what driver are you going to be running in this enclosure? not many subs will perform well tuned that low. also, i hope you have enough midbass to keep up with the rolloff you will see on the upper end. |

I will be running an Alpine SWR-1242d being powered by an Alpine MRP-M500...
according to winISD i should reach peak xmax right around 28hz...roll off surprisingly isn't that bad...as far as mid bass i run Infinity Kappa components and will use my 3SIXTY.2 to help with tuning |

She'll really like it... Sorry for the cruddy cell phone pictures. I plan on cleaning the car all up this weekend, so I'll take better pictures with an actual camera and post them up.
