Default Feedback on system plan

Hey guys, I'm putting in a basic system, I'm going for sound quality, but budget conscious, I don't need over the top spl, just nice fat sound.

Alpine CDA-105 cd/mp3/wma deck $157.99 shipped
Alpine KTP-445 45w rms x 4 deck addon $114.99 shipped
Infinity Kappa 682.9cf front and rear $200 shipped for all
Alpine ipod adapter
-------------------------------
Total About $480 bucks

And I've dynamatted the entire interior less the roof.

So, I've changed to reference series in the rear, and changed the deck to the cde-102. This cut an additional $85 from the cost.

Total system cost is now $480 w/ metra kit, wiring harness, and the speaker harness adapters.

i wouldn't consider any of that to be SQ oriented equipment. To start i would recommend a set of components over the coaxils in front. a seperate tweeter will allow an a-pillar install which will give a dramatic boost to your imaging and staging.

now, none of this matters if you don't deaden and seal your doors. midbass response will be nonexistant if you don't turn your doors into a proper enclosure for the mids. also, for that price shipped, you could get a much better 4 channel to drive the speakers than that alpine add on. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...ASA-400.4.html

The one thing I would say is the orginal dec k would allow for later upgrades over the 102. I would also say do a set of comps and use basic speakers for the back. And most of all dynamat the roof- It made a huge improvement in volume and in road noise.

Here's the latest. I went with the alpine 102 for cost. Mounted it, changed to the Infinity kappas in rear for direct fit. Am running those of deck power. Then picked up a Sundown 50.4 for $100 bucks from a buddy, and a set of Bravox cs50k components for the front. Also got an old school, (NOS) r/t Patriot 10", love those subs man, I used to rock my Bass 305 cd's in the early nineties to it. It's comparable to the JL w6's. I put it in a Bassworx ported enclosure and bridged chans 3&4, to around 200rms on a 3ohm load. I have to say that sub and amp combo sound better and hit harder than the mrp850 and alpine typer 12 in my 300c. All around this set up is killer. Those Bravox's are phenomenal.

Those Sundown amps are very strong amps.

Nice price you picked it up for as well.
