Default Turn off factory Alarm with no remote

Hey I lost my factory remote for my 2001 ZX3. Is there a way to turn of my alarm without the remote?

That's what I thought! But when I turn my key nothing happens! Could it be my car doesn't recognize my key in the PATS system?

owner's manual says, "unlock the doors by using your key."

What do you mean by "nothing happens"? Disarming the OEM alarm should be transparent. Under what conditions does "nothing" happen?

The only PATS ring is in the ignition. So the alarm doesn't care about that part of the key. There's a little sensor in the door tumbler that tells the alarm that you're unlocking the door with the ignition key, instead of a thief who just broke a window. That signal is what disarms it.

When installing an aftermarket alarm on a vehicle equipped like yours, the installer would have to hook that wire up to the aftermarket system so it can tell the OEM alarm to not trigger itself when you open the door.
