Could you do me a favor? I have the opposite problem from you: I have the amp, but not the wiring! I bought the stock subwoofer from someone but for some reason my car doesn't have the wiring in place and I'm going to have to make up my own. Can you take a picture of that connector, the one that has 7 (?) wires going in to it so that I can see what wire goes into what place on the connector? I believe there should be two red (12v constant), two black/blue (grounds), one white/red (amp turn on), and then the positive and negative amp inputs (wht/blk and gry/blk), but I'm not sure which position each are in on the connector. And then on the other one, is it just two wires? One white and one gray and going to the speaker?

Also, can you (or anyone out there) let me know how the sub enclosure bolts to the floor and wall? I have the brackets and bolts but there are just large holes on the car that match up to them and they don't have nuts welded to the back and there is no access to get behind there and hold a nut while bolting the brackets on. Is there some sort of insert that pushes into the holes and then the bolts screw into them?

I'd really appreciate it!

the whole should be threaded,if not get yourself and a tap and dye set and make your own threads

Default Re: stock subwoofer problem.

I can't tap it because though the holes are already there, they are much too large. The holes in the bracket piece are sized for size 6 metric bolts and those came with the subwoofer. But the holes drilled in the floor and wall are so large even a size 14 bolt can fall right in. If the holes are supposed to be smaller and threaded, then I'm SOL. I'm going to have to attach the enclosure some other way - make a different bracket and tap new holes, or maybe just velcro the thing.

But the wiring is more important so if anyone can post about that, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!
