so how much does the S2000 button cost....and how much do you charge to put it in

but seriously...nice work...and this completely eliminates the key to the ignition?

It doesn't bypass the key. What you have to do is use the key to turn the car on, then push the button instead of using the key ign swich.

i bought one of these kits from focusonfocus a few months ago. 60 for the button and everything you need to install it. the actual wiring only took me about 30 minutes to do.

If there is three connector sticking out, then you can.

I got a price quote from local Honda and cost me $68.
Only if somebody gathers 10+ people, then I will consider to sell this whole package at $60. Because I know some place can get me cheaper.

You still need to put key and turn to "ON" position.

Man, I use my lighter for phone charging. Not really wanting to get rid of it. I suppose I could always find a way to install another lighter somewhere, but I can't think of anyplace that would work for phone charging while driving. I'd still need to be able to see the phone since I can't hear it with the stereo on

Get an SVT console. They have an extra socket on them in the passenger footwell area.

You can kind of see it in this shot.

I use that one and place my phone in the passenger cup holder. Works great.

I put a cigerete lighter port on the other side of the center console than the SVT has. Its right before the passenger side cupholder. There is plenty of room right there and its easy to wire up.

eeesh I dunno if I'd use t-taps on those wires. I've seen many a t-tap melt under the kind of current conditions you're looking at...other than that, good write up.

is it "reversable?"
Does it completely eliminate the option to key start? i.e. does it do both or JUST push button?

its just for the neato factor. I'm thinking of doing it also.... so they sell this as a whole kit huh? hmm.... Anyone find it with a blue face button instead of red? that would really put me over the top on wanting to do this.

well the only thing i can say about the t-taps is they go bad when used improperly, since this is a momentary voltage there shouldnt ba any problems.Secondly the only thing i would have done differently is i wouldnt have t-tapped the starter,i would have cut it and connected it directly to the relay and had a starter kill built into it instead of having both options able to start it.its harder to steal if they cant start it.otherwise its a nice write up and looks nice.---just a suggestion though, i would rap those wires in tape so they stand a better chance of not rubbing onto grnd and it would blend them in with tha factory wiring

you should relocate the key cylinder to somewhere where its hidden, that way you could still use the PATS and the key

yea, does it eliminate the key completely, you can never use the key, how do you shut it off (can u use the button), what if it was accidentally pressed while the car was running?
