Cool How To Add A Guage

Here is what i did today

made a pod and fitted it to my existing guage cluster.

sand it down real good

prep it for paint

I always like to promote good adhesion

My son and dog helpd me paint it ( i kept having a problem with pvc rusting but i found a solution to that problem)

While the paint drys get the gague ready to install ( the tape will hold it in the pod)

Then get the bulb ready that will light up the gague, i robbed the little leds out of some cobra eyes. (see its coiled like a little cobra. sssssss)

Dissassemble the a-pillar pod and get it ready to mount the new pod ( the more hands you have available at this point the better)

Drill holes for the screws and wires ( measure twice and drill once..err uh three times)

mount the pod, check and recheck its alignment to suit (a guage pointed at the roof dosent do anyone any good)

Hook the leds together so they come on with your parking lights ( or if you want i guess you could hook them up to your wipers, its your car)

re-mount the a pillar pod along with our newest edition and put the gague in. im not hooking up the air line, their isnt any need to right now, no FI on it yet ( i know im perpatratin fraud right now, all gague and no boost but i have plans )

i made this for a temp cover for the other end of the pod, credit to anyone who can tell me what this is.

and then were done, there is my wife helpin me too....I love it when she helps me :-)

And credit to my two helpers

This is how i help i ride around on my four wheeler all day

Im a dog, what do you expect me to be able to help with, im just gonna get in your way and bark, but im cute so love me!

No animals or children were harmed in the making of this how to

Word

i put this is as an afterthought
Before

After

Haha, awesome how-to bro, maybe Jeff (Xerofall) could work something out about getting this added to the uber-stickie

wow hey not that bad!

I like how it is different than the norm, how much would you charge to make me a 2 gauge pod?

Cool Re: My first How To : adding a guage (56kW)

hey guys and gals

i fixed the badge problem... i made my own grille, tell me what you think, its the thread in exterior mods

no one knows what i used to make the front cover for the pod.

ok, since i have no takers, its actually the circuit board form the second DPFE sensor i have had installed om my focus, yes im on the third. i thought it was fitting to put it there its really the only real problem i have ever had from my focus.

Ok, correct me if Im wrong.
The little thing you put on the end of the pod: Thats a lidar scrabler right?
I saw the infared LED, and could that posible be solar powered?
Did you make that or where did you buy it?
Do I get credit?
